San Bernardino County Sheriff is very pro CCW.

It's just possible that the reason they take the screening so seriously is so they will never be the County that gives the Anti's in Congress ammo to make CCW permits illegal.

For example all it took was one Assistant Principal bragging to his fellow teachers he had a CCW to get CCW banned in schools.

There seems to be some variations depending on who you talk to. On the residence history form it states "do not list your current address"- In my case Ive lived at the same address my entire life. called for clarification and Dep. Taber said write it down anyway. Upon my interview, the other Dep. tried to give me grief for "not following directions".

2 years goes by quickly doesn't it!
Took a good year before carrying became 2nd nature to the point that I'm totally comfortable with it and have the same feeling like I've forgotten my watch when I'm not carrying.

It took more than that...But yeah, hopefully no body with a CCW permit from this county or any county will become a Media Event for the anti crowd.

I took me about half that time, but I'll admit I carried without one in the pipe for at least a month or maybe a bit longer while I refined the technique. It's all about the right holster and belt for each person, I have a drawer full of failures like everyone else.

This will give you the jest of it.

VPrincipal was legally carrying in a GFSZ. Bragged to other teachers. School called LEO's who took him into custody. LEO's found out CCW permits were exempt from GFSZ and all he was guilty of was violating employer policy so he was not charged.

Just went in for my interview.. Went smooth and only took about 30 minutes or less. I'm 10 days in the process so far, hopefully the rest goes by fast and smooth.

I got lucky to get an interview date so quick. I must have picked up a date that someone cancelled otherwise I would have had to wait till January/2019. Surprised someone would want to cancel with SBCSD.

Nice. There could be all kinds of reasons someone cancels. I wish someone would have cancelled when I applied. But seeing as I applied after the San Bernardino shooting I knew that wasn't going to happen.
