I was referring to the 1/2 day training/refresher class for renewals, are they mixed in with 1st applicants CCW class also?...

Renewal class only has people going through renewal, not first timers.

Unless you are doing a modification (adding/dropping handguns on your permit), there's no reason to go back to the Sheriff Academy Range.
If you are doing a modification, you will be with other people going through renewal time modifications and with reserve & retired LEOs qualifying to maintain their LEOSA status.

Your renewal class is done in at either the HQ office conference room or at one of the substations. Only attendees are those renewing and some staff is on hand.
You never go back to the range/range classroom unless you are adding a firearm.

I know they are little behind with people taking off for vaca. Perhaps it's her week this week.

I wonder how many people are still waiting to be called from the 9/16 range class to pick up permits.

I would also imagine an up-tick in new applicants (or phone calls with questions) this week, just like December 2015.

I was in the 9/16 group and got a call at the end of the day saying my permit is ready. I think that makes my total process time right about 11 months.

Picked up yesterday. All the cards from 9/16 were on the desk. So everyone is being called and that may have the lines busy. If you get a call that your permit is ready, you can get it between 8 or 9 am and 4pm. That is what my message said.

Patiently waiting for the call. Range date 9/16. I've done a ton of cardio, running to answer the telemarketing calls!
