I submitted an application to San Bernardino Sheriff's but the next available appointment is not until March 2018. Too long! I called and cancelled and submitted an application to Ontario PD.

Talked to an investigator and he will call me in a week or two for an interview appointment. Said it shouldn't be as long because they don't get as many applications as SB.

Lets see how it goes.

Hello there,

A EDC question?

In regarding carrying a Beretta PX4 strom fullsize or Sig Sauer SP2022.

I need an experience expert advice because I'm going to renew my permit this Oct.

advice are;

the comfort on carrying
(px4/ karh P45/ SP2022/ sig 229 and also sig 220 carry).


The iwb holsters like urban carry, smart carry and ect holsters.

I'm a well experience shooter and CCW permit holder.

I'm asking a friendly advice not childish judgment.

Not a fan of Urban Carry and SmartCarry.
Personally, I use Vedder IWB for all of my carry guns.

i have a few vedders they are nice but ive changed all my carry guns over to legacy firearms co, high quality kydex and construction and much more personalized or custom tailored then vedder.

EDC with the Shield for well over a year now.
Forward cant, on the lower holes (deepest carry), run it at about 2:30... very little printing even in a snug t-shirt.

has vedder offered the claw yet? the lack of that and desire to carry appendix is what pushed me away from vedder. i do really like their holsters, but just didnt like carrying at 230, 430 felt like everytime i bent down or reached for something the gun was exposed.

No claw yet.
2:30 works well with the deeper carry.

I started out with the Aliengear 3.0 at 4:30 and knew I was printing the butt any time I bent over, not to mention the shirt dropping in behind the butt when returning to a standing position.

My midsection does not allow for AIWB. I MIGHT be able to move something like the Kahr P380 up to 1:30 or so (I'll find out, I'm dropping the G26 for the 380 when I renew)

I got the changing of weapons it was the EDC license (you edited it) that I was questioning.

So here's where I'm at

I found calguns.net from another forum, and so glad that I did. Since catching up on all 119 pages of this forum (which took me a couple of days btw), I thought I would update as to where I'm am in the CCW process;

Submitted application sometime in early November as I was sure the election was going to the other way, and just wanted to get in line, just in case.

Well, my interview is finally here (8/31), and I cant believe it. I'm pretty sure all my ducks are in their proper row, just have to wait and see what happens next.

What I have noticed while catching up is that most everybody is/was concerned about their GC statement (as was I). Thanks to calguns.net, that concern is gone (for the most part anyway lol). I'll post an update in the next couple of days.
