After reading all 119 pages a while back, I don't recall anybody getting pushed up for their interview. I did read that when selecting you're date, an earlier date was available (cancellation maybe, IDK).
Update - I had my interview on 8/31/17 and got a call from my employer that they received my questionnaire on 9/6/17. Even with the holiday mixed in there, thats only 3 business days.
Nice work SBSD.Comment

It has happened a couple of times. It is not the norm. Go practice and have fun.

Has it happened, yes. Is it common, no.

5 yards, 5 shots from low ready, reload, 5 shots from low ready.
"Hit" is anything within the 7 ring on the upper half of a standard B27 target.
Must hit 8 out of 10 to pass.
No time limit (within reason).
You get 3 chances if you don't make 8/10, that's why they say to bring 30 rounds per gun... hopefully you only need 10 per gun (factory boxed ammo).
The range class is more of a live-fire safe handling demonstration than it is a test of your proficiency.
SBSD's attitude is that it is not their job to TEACH you to shoot, it is their job to verify that you can safely handle a firearm and can engage a threat without posing undue risk to yourself or persons other than your intended target.Last edited by Cokebottle; 09-10-2017, 12:19 PM.- Rich

During the renewal class, they (SBSD) stress the point that, no matter what your background might be, as a permit holder you need to constantly go out and seek additional firearms training. Complacency gets you and those around you killed. Keep training and don't get lazy.sigpic

Anyone have any problems with having mods done? I know it says your not supposed to have anything done besides sites, grips, etc. but thinking about putting my Sig p220 as my 3rd gun on there and it has a Grayguns flat trigger, think they will give me a problem, or is it not worth trying?Comment

As long as the trigger pull weight is 3lbs or more, they don't care.
If the trigger pull is under 3lbs, then it runs the risk of being rejected when they function check your handguns before the range work.
As long as none of the mods negatively effects the function of the handgun, they don't care.
If the mods cause stoppages/malfunctions during the range work, then it will be rejected.Last edited by Quiet; 09-10-2017, 9:59 PM.sigpic

No it hasn't affected the stock trigger pull weight. I was just worried to take it and not be able to put it on because of the flat trigger and only get to put 2 guns on my card when I could've taken something else and put that one on. Thank youComment

I had the apex duty trigger kit on my shield and they said it was fine. It doesn't affect the pull weight just makes for a crisper pull.
Pretty much they discussed this as being an issue in court. So to avoid issues they just recommend you keep it stock.

Except that they have said not to remove any factory safeties. Even though doing so would not affect function it is frowned upon.So far...
