If you're not to far I'd roll by to see if I can pick up. I've seen posts in the past that others were getting calls and some did just that.

            I understand that.

But, I've called people who I know have their voicemail set up and get a message that says the person you're calling has a voicemail that is not set up.

If they got that message when calling you they might not call back until they have some "free" time.

I don't think it would hurt to stop by and say hi and see if your card is ready.

            Yes you can have 2 C&R 03 FFL's; 1 in California and 1 in a different state.

My patience paid off! Got the call and now at the office waiting to pick it up! FYI. They close at 1:00 pm today and closed on Monday for Columbus Day. Good luck to all!

Does anyone know if you can add a gun to permit after the initial application. I only put two on original application, was thinking off adding third. Passed background have range date on 10/28.
Also I have seen in past post dimensions for the target used at range , cant seem to find it again in thread . If anybody knows post number can you direct me to the correct location.

You can bring any 3 guns you own to the range. It doesn't matter if you listed them on your application or not. I listed my P220 on my application and it's not even on my permit.

The target used to qualify is the B27 silhouette. I used the B5 silhouette target for practice because they are a little smaller and much cheaper.

Thanks for the info, do you know is it any place inside of the 7 ring or just upper portion of silhouette inside the 7 ring?

It's from the center of the target to the shoulders inside the 7 ring.

Right on thanks. That is what I thought, that was the picture I found earlier. Just could not find it again.

Your renewal class is done in at either the HQ office conference room or at one of the substations. Only attendees are those renewing and some staff is on hand.
You never go back to the range/range classroom unless you are adding a firearm.
                              Thanks,
That clears up a statement that someone made in this thread earlier that the CCW class sizes (lately 150-200 Saturday class 1st applicants) were so large because of renewals possibly being part of them. So that's not the case, just a large volume of 1st time applicants.
Thank you for your reply, and to 'Quiet' as well...

What I was referring to was that the person who claimed some 150-200/week MAY have been including renewals... I was not claiming that renewals were in the same class, I know that they aren't.

But the numbers still don't add up to there being some 150-200/week (with classes every week), yet only some 7,000 outstanding permits.
If they were running 150-200 every week, we would be getting around 9,000 NEW permits issued every year.

What was the last count that McMahon gave? 8,000 by the end of the year, which is only 4,000 more than when I got my permit at the beginning of 2016... and 4,000 of those will be up for renewal some time within the next few months.

I'm not saying there aren't 150-200 there. There obviously are. I'm saying that either they are not running classes every weekend, or there are far more permits outstanding than McMahon is claiming.... OR the claim of 150-200 "per week" is including the renewals, which are ~80 people 4-5 times a month (total) at HQ, Rancho, and Hesperia.
