    Range dates

Had my interview on 8/10/17. I was told they are confident I will have my range before the end of the year. Does anyone know roughly how long or where I can find class dates. They told me there were six left for Hyde year. Looking to sell a gun and buy new ones. Want to not get caught with my pants down and not have a weapon. I am at least 15 days out.

You won't find the dates for the classes anywhere. They do two classes a month; or at least have in the past.

If you figure it least 30-40 days for your background check to be completed you won't get called for your range date until mid to late September. Now if you figure on 30-40 days from the call to your range date you're looking at late November to early December for your range date.

        Yes you can have 2 C&R 03 FFL's; 1 in California and 1 in a different state.

              Nope.
You make your final decision on what guns you want listed the night before qualifying.

So renewal experts: I'm coming up for renewal and I want to add a firearm to my CCW. I k ow the process has changed somewhat, what is the fastest way to get it done. I'm trying to see if I can get my CCW handed to me at the renewal class instead of making an extra trip to headquarters sometime later.

Go to HQ do your renewal paperwork. Ask for range info for adding a gun. Do your range time. Allow a few weeks then go to your class.
IF the girls aren't swamped and if you are real near your expiration date you may get your new ID that night or it will be mailed shortly after.
Renewals are MAILED, no need to go pick them up.

Ok thanks. I thought I remembered going back, but now that I think about it, that was because of a typo on the numbers on one of my firearms.

Fyi, you have to be a resident of the county for 1 year, not sure if that's to submit the application or if you can get it started since it might take close to a year anyway.

Application submitted on the 7/17/17. Still waiting to hear from Redlands pd for interviews and paperwork.

I took the class in April, they handed out renewed permits after the class. Just get the renewal paperwork completed early enough.

Correct, if paperwork is in and done and you are NEAR your expiration date you very well may get the new card after class.
