    Yes you can have 2 C&R 03 FFL's; 1 in California and 1 in a different state.

You should be finished around April, I would guess.

          My CCW Timeline

Hi all... I just picked up my CCW permit on Tuesday the 11th so I'd like to post my timeline for the people who are thinking of applying for their CCW.

12/22/15 - Applied online for CCW
          4/25/16 - Interview
          9/17/16 - Range Date
          10/11/16 - Permit Rec'd

Hope that gives better perspective to potential applicants. Time flew by. The longer you hesitate and "think about it", that's time wasted you're NOT getting it done. Good luck to the new applicants. Keep your paperwork in order!

Any time in the next 20 days.
You will be called when cleared.
Given it's been 100 days, I'd say that they likely did not encounter any issues with the residence check.
A delay MAY be due to your employer not returning the form... I don't know how or when the notify of that.

Man this is taking forever. It's been over 120 days since the interview on June 8th. I applied on December 12th.

I just got my renewal notice in the mail.
(my permit expires in Oct 2017)

The letter states that the earliest I can attend the approved CCW class and submit my renewal paperwork is 90 days before my permit expires.

Letter has a list of CCW class dates/locations and says I can make an appointment for one of those as soon as I receive the letter.

Quiet, Did the letter say anything about adding a firearm to your license?

I interviewed same week as you did, and still waiting. My livescan says still processing. My neighbors don't even remember any residence check. I might call my HR on Monday to see if they sent back the paperwork.

Last time I spoke with Sarah, she told me everything was good, they we're just waiting on the livescan to clear. I left her a voicemail on Thursday, but haven't heard from her.

Went to class in Devore today, super easy.

here are a few things that might help:

                            Bring a pen.

ear and eye protection. ( they accepted sunglasses but bring safety glasses just incase)

Pistol mods. My shield has the chamber indicator deleted, 4lb trigger and night sights. Nothing was said. However guy in front of me had a Glock of some kind and his gun was denied because of a light trigger. We both had the same guy inspect our guns.

Shooting portion is very easy. Practice safe handling and you are good to go. Do something stupid and they will ask you to leave.

There will be signs instructing you were to go, at the Stop sign go left all the way around to the top by the range. Walk down to the class. There was a guy directing us where to go.

Class portion is just going over laws and stupid crap you should never do.

I will try to help with any questions you might have.

Good to hear it went well.

You should have your permit within 2 weeks, potentially a week.

When you get your permit, before leaving the counter, verify all information is correct, including serial numbers and caliber.

I had to get a reprint because my G36 was listed as a 42 rather than 45 cal. I had the DROS paperwork in my car so I was able to verify that the correct information should have been in AFS, it was just a typo when the permit was printed.

Yes they warned us to make sure and check. Keep your range card and use that to verify.
