I'm not sure if you will. With my last job change i sent an email and never got a response.

I think they will only contact you if they have questions.

They are pretty backed up, short staff and a bazillion apps being processed.

I'm not sure if you will. With my last job change i sent an email and never got a response.

Other than noting it in your file I don't think you will hear from them for a job change.

Just an FYI.

My brother turned in his paperwork on 12/29/2020.

He just got his new permit yesterday.

This was for a renewal.

Under 30 days with two holidays awesome!!
With things opening up and Covid rates down (fingers crossed) we will probably see more progress.

I hope so, I turned in my paperwork on the 15th. We'll see how long it takes for me to get my new permit.

Background Cleared

Got the Long awaited call today that my background has cleared. Had my initial interview on 11-11-2020. Scheduled class via zoom call. Pretty smooth process so far.

Man, I had my interview on 10/15/20 and have not heard anything. They told me it would take six months and to not call them to check for updates. Pretty disappointed to hear that people are getting accepted when they had their interview a month after mine.

There are a number of reasons others may be processing faster.
If they are retired/self employed there isn't a wait on Employers returning paper work.
Maybe you had things they needed to follow up on. Tickets, moved recently, anything can slow the ball down.

When did you move from LA?
A lot of your previous post were guns for sale in LOS ANGELES.

Your initial CCW training class is going to be through zoom? That’s pretty cool, last I heard it was an in person class for initial CCW and YouTube videos for the renewal. Did you by chance hear if it would be an ongoing thing for the initial? Also when’s your zoom class? Just trying to get an idea of what the timeframe is looking like after backgrounds clear.

I moved here in January 2020.
My employer has still not received a letter from them yet.
I do have criminal history that has been dismissed from my record (marijuana felony in 2006) that I fully disclosed to them and they told me that since it was dismissed and I disclosed it that it should not work against me.

You need to notify them of job change or resident change within 10 days.
