My interview was in Sept and I'm still waiting. But some else on here already got the call and they interview in Oct.

I wonder what might be causing the difference in time to clear the background check?

Guess it all depends I had my live scan done about a year ago for my 03 ffl and coe took about 3 months for the atf to give me a answer my buddy took 2 months from what they told me was they usually have a answer before the doj finishes your background and they wait on them

I would contact them now…rule of thumb is usually 3 months before expiration

Yes, SBSD allows optics on carry handguns.

Currently, SBSD allows all types of modifications to carry handguns, as long as it does not make the handgun into a prohibited weapon.

In addition, SBSD strongly recommends not having any type of logo, slogan, or wording on the firearm that would make the permit holder be perceived in a negative manner.

Just got my notification for the reschedule! They had 3 dates available: 2/26, 3/5, 3/15. I did the obvious and picked the soonest date lol

My call back was roughly 3 months after. I've heard of others going as long as 6 months. Hopefully they call you soon!

Renewal

You'll get an email (with forms attached and link to the youtube videos) maybe when it's 60-70 days out. That's what happened to me. The good thing is I got my renewal permit the day my old permit expired. Once you get that email, get your paperwork and proof of firearm requalification submitted right away.

Damn, got a ticket today should I give the CCW unit an email to let them know? I have my interview early March. It was for crossing a double yellow line how badly will it affect my application?

EDIT: Tried giving S a call, no answer as usual. Shot her an e-mail hopefully I hear back soon and it isn’t the end for me. ��

I'd recommend including it in your questionnaire
