Due for renewal... Initial application statement of good cause was a simple "self protection". 1st renewal requires a simple paragraph for statement of good cause. Are we required to write another statement of good cause for renewal? Or is our previous statement of good cause GTG? Thanks.

Every renewal needs your good cause restated. You can no longer use just a two word statement.

Bring up the various state laws that release prisoners early etc... They seem to like that.

My brother turned in his paperwork sometime between Christmas and New year. He went to the range on January 2nd. His permit expired on March 15th.

He got his new permit on March 14th. They're working on them. You shouldn't have to wait too long.

PSA: I'm only going to be in the state another 6 months at most, so it isn't worth it for me to go through the process. I will be sending an email later tonight to cancel my April 30th appointment for the initial interview. If your quick, maybe someone with a later appointment can snatch it and get in sooner.

As mentioned... I called down there and told them to forget the changes and just re-issue the prior card and they did. FWIW your expiration date will remain the same so you have already lost a month of your 24.
