I was going to but after what AcFixer went through I decided not to change my permit.

      Yes you can have 2 C&R 03 FFL's; 1 in California and 1 in a different state.

Not a matter of being made of sugar.
That road becomes unusable in the rain.

Myself and couple other guys went around the backside through the firecamp road. There were only 4 of us qualifying at the time lol. The range master said the start time on the handout was incorrect and should have started at 8am instead of 2pm. (they should have sent someone to the road closure to explain the situation...go figure) By the time we were done shooting, a few others must have caught on because I saw them rolling in.

Also, some of the range officers (red shirts) who were inspecting weapons don't really know what they're looking at. After I was told I couldn't qual with the RMR, which one of the range officers was involved in, I pulled my second pistol out of my case and was practically jumped on by the RO telling me to "put that one away, you're not allowed to shoot that one!" I'm thinking, "uh... what? What now? What's wrong with this one?" Turns out, the RO didn't know what a red dot was, saw the orange dot on my front sight post, and thought that was it. Fortunately the deputy was right there and corrected her, otherwise I'd only have one firearm on my CCW right now.
well I either got lucky or they finally go their stories straight. I pulled out a G19 with an RDS..no issues. I have my slide milled, and the RO noted that on the back of the range card. The RO spent quite a bit of time inspecting the trigger (it's completely stock) and remarked, "we have had some rule changes since the last time, did you do anything to the trigger?" Point being it appears thy're looking at triggers more closely now (I had an Apex trigger installed on my Shield at the initial qualification...no issues), I know the reasons why they want stock triggers, but just pointing out food for thought for future qualifiers.

So the road was closed again. Went all the way around, and was able to shoot. Entered through Lapis Ln and Scarlet Cr Road, and followed the road that way.

That route is normally closed. You were lucky to get in.

Are you folks talking about Institution Road between the 215 and the range being closed when it's raining? Does it flood? Just wondering. The last time i was down there is was 200 degrees in the shade.

The creek/river runs across that wash when it rains.
Between water and mud flow they close it.

I'm ready to jump in. Is there any info posted here as to a current breakdown on how to start, ie, submitting an application, fee's to pay and what order to do things?
