FWIW. I cancelled my upcoming interview. After examining my motives for obtaining a CCW and reading some of the relevant law I decided it's not something I want to do at this time. My home remains and armed fortress however

Thanks to all on here for providing information. It has been educational. I only wish I could have passed on my June 27th interview to someone who could use it.

It is a serious responsibility, and there were a few times in the process that I questioned the decision.

Ultimately it boiled down to, if I am not comfortable carrying, nobody is forcing me to do so. I can have the permit in my wallet and no gun on my hip.
If I do not wish to defend another person and allow an assault to take place just as if nobody with a permit was around, that is my option and nobody is going to force me to do anything.

I would rather have the option for both of the above than be forced into a "can not" as the only option.

Right now, if I saw a robbery at Walmart or an assault in the parking lot, I still can't tell you what I would do.
Most likely, be a good witness.
But if the assault is against my wife or my boss, it's game on.

Of course it is, and that SHOULD be the only good cause needed should someone wish to use it.

But that does not change the responsibility and potential gravity.

Where at inside AV gun club is the ccw class hosted? Is it marked where it's at when you get there? I don't want to be wandering around their gunclub all Willy nilly looking for the classroom. Thanks.

Red circle is the classroom and parking area for the class.
After lunch, you'll park in the yellow circle, blue circle is the range used.

If you use Waze, I have added a searchable destination point as "SBSD AVGC CCW"
Use that search term exactly and it will lead you right to the classroom.

The instructor is a great guy and is a Calgunner.

The classroom will be cold in the morning. Around 10 the heat kicks into high gear, so dress in layers.

Well another step closer. My wife had a visit from a investigator yesterday. Ask if I lived here full time and which neighbor would be the best to visit with. Short and sweet.

Ya... I had to map the private roads in there too.

They were installing a new gate when I was there, so I don't know if anything has changed in the last 2 months.
I'll update it when the Google aerials update.
