I was told the beginning of the month is when they set the fallowing month IE 7-1@ 12 noon I looked and found two spots left on 8 -30 ... so on 9-1 be the early bird and get your worm. They book an entire month in 3hrs or less .. from 9 am to 5pm 30 mins apart ... that is a lot of people. For anybody that wants to try the same service I used, google "visualping". You put in the webpage URL and then draw a box around where you want it to watch for changes. You get like 60 free checks per month, which at one check every 3 hours would last just over a week. You can also have it check more or less often. Hope this helps someone.

Check daily for cancellations or go back a couple of posts and see the creative way the last guy solved this problem. All you need is the last 10-15 posts in this thread.

You can do what I did and just keep checking back for cancellations or you can use a service that can check for web page changes on a periodic basis. Once that service tells you that a change has happened, you just go to that page and see what changed.
For applicants that have been approved for final issuance, from what I have seen, it appears that the next available appointments are toward the end of October. Yes, they're apparently that busy!
When I first started (like toward the beginning of this thread back in 2010) it took me something like 4-5 months start-to-finish, mostly because of my schedule, not their timeline. Back then you could go from application submission to CCW in hand in about 3 months. Their online system was set up a little differently then. Back then you could schedule the issuance appointment before getting final clearance. The caveat was that if your livescan results weren't back yet, you would have to reschedule. Of course back then you could pretty reliably figure 5 weeks from livescan submission to getting final approval... So you would just set an issuance appointment for 5-6 weeks out from the livescan appointment.
Now their system won't even be available to you to set up your issuance appointment until you've been cleared. I kind of like this system a bit better considering the LONG wait times of 5-6weeksmonths to typically receive DOJ/FBI clearance.Last edited by CSDGuy; 09-07-2016, 2:32 AM.Comment

$20 Fee
Received my appointment confirmation however it states to bring either money order or cashier's check for filling fee. Do they not accept personal checks or debit?Comment
