How things change over time. In 2011, the average was somewhere in the 14 day range, IIRC. Mine took much longer, in the ballpark of the average now, but the vast majority were getting results in less than a month back then.

14 days for livescan? They must not have been waiting for hard copies back then. That or their were so few scans that the single person who checks livescans could get through them faster. I wonder what the missing piece is?

They were indeed waiting for hard copies. Check back through this thread. What I don't recall is whether that 14 day recollection was for electronic clearance and maybe the letter took a little longer. I do know at least one person who had their LTC in hand about a month, month and a half after the initial application appointment.

I have the same approval date but I live scanned a few days before you. We should get notified about the same time. Be sure to update when you hear something.

That would be super. But with the holidays I'm not holding my breath.

Hopefully there are open times for permit issuance this month, my wife takes her ccw class this weekend. She got final approval last month.

Not sure if this was discussed before but I thought I would mention it...

I was in today for my renewal appointment and as my 2 proofs of residency I brought in a copy of my water bill and Sac County property tax bill. Same 2 documents I used 2 years ago at my renewal with no issues. This time though, they refused to accept my property tax bill as proof of residency. I was able to bring up another bill on my phone and email it to the lady helping me who printed it out so I didn't have to come back.

FYI applicants...Along with not accepting DMV documents, they do not accept property tax bills for your Sac County residence as proof of residency.

Quick question if anyone cares to help,
I'm new to the CCW scene because well, it never interested me before. Now it does, more than ever. I'm in La county though (shucks). Does SB County also require a good cause statement? If so, anyone who has gotten theirs approved care to help me by allowing me to PM them mine and see if I'm on the right track?
