Does anyone know what the firearms part of Live Scan includes - is that a list of firearms I own from the DROS records, or something else? I've heard this can take longer than the DOJ and FBI records checks.

To answer my own question, it appears this is firearms eligibility, not a list of owned firearms . . . not sure what this involves beyond the DOJ and FBI records but it seems like some form of additional investigation.

            Question regarding DD214

I am going to be applying for my CCW soon and am wondering if a final discharge certificate from military showing and honorable discharge will be accepted in lieu of a final DD214. I have attempted to get a copy my DD214 in the past both by written request and milconnect and I have been out of luck.

Anyone ever seen this scenario before?

I'm interested in obtaining my CCW license and would like some feedback on whether or not my situation would meet the standards of Good Cause.

I suffered a traumatic knee injury a couple years ago and have had 4 surgeries in the time since. There are metal plates in my knee, I have had 3 ligaments replaced - 2 of them had to be redone - and I'm not ever going to get back to 100%. My doctor called it a "life altering injury". I'm able to walk, but I'm limited in the distance I can travel and must take my time - I can't run or even jog, and must still be fairly careful when walking on uneven surfaces to avoid tweaking it. I still am able to go hunting in rural areas of the desert where the terrain is mostly flat. However, that happens to be where there's a lot of criminal activity, and I always have expensive equipment with me when I do so (rifles, scopes, spotters, calls, tripods, etc) . I feel like I have become a much more vulnerable target after my injury and would like to be more proactive in my approach to my personal safety.

                    GC Question,

I have a race car, I tow it behind my truck which is loaded to the brim with spare parts and tools. I'm usually alone and I drive out to tracks in the desert where cell coverage is spotty at best and police/AAA response times are slow. The parts and tools are untraceable, common and worth at minimum 25k. I have tons of pictures of everything.

The problem is it's been a few years since the last time I went. The car still runs so I could theoretically go at any time but life has gotten in the way the last few years, thus the hiatus.

Would this work or would I need to have gone more recently? I do plan to go again and I would like to have my CCW for the next time I go.

                    Thanks!

Any OC CCW folks out there with a Sig P320 on their card? I just picked one up and want to have it amended. Since the caliber (and barrel length) can be easily swapped, does that have any impact on qualifying and tracking?

I qualified with my X Carry for my permit. I did not have any issues with qualifying. As 9Cal stated above, whatever form of your P320 you bring into qualify with, you must carry that configuration. Congrats and good luck!

Send me a PM I have some experience with this Good Cause a friend of mine used. I might be able to help but no need to post everything on the public board.

Hello I am applying for my CCW in OC. Have any of you used a credit card statement and paystub as proofs of residency? I do not have any utility bills. So I am trying to figure out other proofs of residency I can use.
