Send them an email. You can used a cell phone bill, vehicle registration, etc. although they want something tied to your address.

Get a copy of your lease agreement as that will also work.

I do not know if this would work for CCW purposes for proof of residency, but when I went to CA DMV for my real ID DL, they were ok with official health insurance documents/paperwork from state of CA covered California as one form of proof of residency (that had my address on it).

Utility bills makes sense, that way they can verify the address is in active use as a residence since water, gas etc. are being used.

I suggest you read the past 5 pages of this sub-forum. GC has been talked about a bit. Really falls under what your reason for wanting to carry is.

              OC is pretty flexible.

GC can be recreational, like hiking.

I've started the process for my CCW and wanted to get some quick feedback on my GG statement.

                  a) I'm in outside sales and always alone in parts of industrial LA and other LA/Orange county cities. Of course sales calls will keep me out past sundown with a couple thousand dollars of equipment on me.

                  b) I've also been told that as a recreational shooter (weekly), carrying thousands of dollars of firearms and ammo is a valid reason to add to the GG statement as well. Is this valid?

                  Any feedback is appreciated

reason B is accurate, which was my GC. I do 3gun at least once a month. Be prepared to show proof of all your matches. I had to show screenshots of my match results on Practiscore, Youtube videos, and even pictures of every weapon I compete with.

Hi all, I've read back a bunch of pages but don't see what I'm looking for.
I see some have gotten sooner dates for the interview. Mine is currently Oct 5th. On the website I hit reschedule (for 3 days now) and nothing changes. Is this how you get a sooner date? just keep trying?
                      Thanks

I rescheduled twice during my process. After the second time, nothing else sooner came up. Even after 2 reschedule, it still took 5 months from application to approval. I got an approval 2 days after my interview (like 1 hour after I submitted all requested documents during the interview).

                        Patient and good luck.

Has anyone renewed recently, how long did that take?

I submitted my renewal in February and am still waiting. My status in the order tracker says assigning to case manager (or something similar.)

Thanks, that's helpful to see the detail. Looks like they approved it right away once the Live Scan came through as complete.
