Part of the requirements for having an OC CCW is that you disclose immediately upon contact with a LEO no matter what part of the state you are in.

Told to say "my issuing agency requires me to inform you that I am a CCW holder and I am armed". Don't say GUN.

Just wondered how it went when it's happened.

        Interesting... I sit corrected... from:

There is no statute stating you must have your Permit/License in your possession when carrying.
Handgunlaw.us recommends you always have your Permit/License with you when carrying. I have been
hearing from CCW holders in CA stating that some Issuing Authorities are putting a restriction on issued
Permit/Licenses that the holder must inform any Police Office that contacts them on any type of official
capacity. CA law does not state you have to inform an officer on any official contact with them. If an issuing
authority puts that restriction on your permit/license then you must inform.

Besides training, apply online and get live scanned after completing application.

I have merely handed my CCW license together with Driver's License to the officer in both cases.

I was asked where it was in one case, it was not even mentioned by the officer in the second case.

So I noticed the little webpage icon for OCSD page changed from a yellow/orange icon to a green triangle

I check the page a lot as you can see lol.

The interview process was really really simple actually. Just be truthful in your application and you will have a smooth interview.

All they go over is your application, making sure everything lines up to what you put compared to your livescan and background check. They will know of any sort of traffic violation, accidents, and arrest. Does not matter if it was expunged they will find it and ask you why you didn't put it on.

So just be truthful and it is pretty straight forward.

Is there a time limit on a speeding ticket? I ran my dmv record and nothing showed up.

Don't understand what you mean by "time limit", just admit everything because they'll know about it already.

Exactly. One non insane speed ticket is not going to cost you ccw.

One, exactly one, omission on your application will cost you ccw.

                              Act accordingly.

That's great. Just curious what additional documents they requested.
