Crap. Lost my CCW license by not having a merchant return it.

(Used it as second form of picture ID. They handed back my license by not the CCW. Didnt realize it until a few days later. Went back - Of course nobody knows anything about it.)

Has anyone gone through this process with the OCSD yet?

Yes. I lost (more like forgot though in all likelihood the dental tech found it and kept it) my wallet at the dentist about a year and a half ago. Filed a police report, told OCSD and they just said its $10.xx to replace it, bring a check. Though with today's level of scrutiny, YMMV.

E-mail dropped my renewal application in late June for my renewal in late October, 4 months early. Full packet, all info, no hiccups. Haven't heard a peep. Emailed them today....received a response back....from their Outlook server...."mailbox full, try again later". Sigh....

I wouldn't tell OCSD how you lost it. From the Terms of License Acknowledgement:

4) License holder shall not unnecessarily display or expose the concealed weapon or license

I interviewed and LiveScanned a week after you. No word from DOJ or OCSD to schedule pickup.

Would you do future readers a favor? Can you call the DOJ update # and tell us if they actually update their status? I'm getting the impression that they don't.

Danny, see what kind of info they request you to reveal about getting a replacement ID and maybe they don't ask. Since you wrote about it on this thread though, they are going to possibly see your post and connect the dots when someone with your story asks for a new ID, especially if his name is Dan. I used my ID as second form of ID in lieu of a firearms safety certificate when I purchased a new firearm, was it that kind of a business?

The DOJ update # is useless!

LiveScan took about 16 weeks.
