Clothing or exposed tattoos that are indecent
Pets or other animals with the exception of service animals as defined by the ADA
Outside alcohol
Selfie sticks

I'm 10 weeks into my livescan, but when I had my interview 3 weeks ago, my interviewer anticipated the results to be in at the end of Aug! I hope it isn't that long.

It has been 90 days (13 weeks) for my livescan so far...I'm still waiting! Does anyone know if the 24-HOUR DEPARTMENT OF JUSTICE STATUS LINE: 916-227-4557 really works?

If you review the thread, you can see that you are well within the typical processing times.

Even husbands and wives submitting at the same time, have reported widely different processing times.

A little patience is the best approach as your come nearer to the completion of this process.

It doesn't work. It's notoriously unreliable.

I gave up on the DOJ Hotline... After a while I started calling the CCW line and asking what the process was on my application. They give you more of a real time play by play.

I started my Live Scan on Feb 1st and they finally got a response at the end of may.

Picked up my LTC today at 11:00. In and out within 15 minutes. Total time from request to permit was 9 months.

Sent in my renewal on 6-21 received an email confirming packet. Still waiting but I have been through this before and its all worth the wait.

And to think I waited 9 months to get mine and all along all I needed to do was ask... Who would have thought.

Success! Picked up my initial 2 year permit this morning.

Here is approx. timeframe:
Requested appt. - 11/18/15
Appt. - 2/11/16 (told to get livescan done)
Live scan - 02/13/16
Conditional approval - 03/03/16
Training completed - 04/10/16
Final approval - 07/12/16

Wow, that is about 4 months! Well, almost there. Again, thanks for the info, I'll continue to email the sheriff every other week.

Here is my timeline:
12/22/15 Called CCW, Got interview appointment for 5/3/16
3/26/16 Training Completed
3/13/16 Email with New appointment on 5/3/16??
4/19/16 Live scan Submitted
4/26/16 Appointment reminder
5/3/16 Interview - Everything in order, Sherriff said I had a good cause.
5/19/16 Sheriff Visit to verify residence

Applied for my CCW today, now to figure out what Handgun will fit my needs. Interview is in Jan 2017

For my just cause reason: I am a freelance photographer who carries an average of $3,000+ worth of gear with me, often times I am alone, and my shoots mainly take place at night in run down/secluded locations.. Obviously I would elongate the reasoning.

Would that be sufficient?
