I expire on 7/21 and they have all my paperwork. Investigator even asked for a check stub which I sent him. I have a feeling I'm going to have a lapse.

After reading this thread it is obviously apparent that OCSD is very busy with processing apps and renewals. OCSD has had my renewalinfo for 33 days now and I have not heard anything from them. Would it be reasonable to contact them and see what the hold up is, or is this a normal wait time? I called in about a week after I sent in all my paperwork and they confirmed that they had received it.

Unless you are expiring very soon, OCSD asks you to apply for renewal 90 days in advance.

If you did this and they have indicated that your file is complete, some patience is appropriate...

If you add the appt request to interview time it's not correct. From interview 4/16 to issue ~8/16 it would be close. Although I did training while waiting for livescan (about 80 days)

Yea, maybe she's too high up to know what is really going on.

Sent in renewal app on 5/11
Got approved to proceed with training email this morning.

Now I have to schedule a class. I'll probably have a lapse since I expire on 7/21 but at least I got renewed.

I didn't take the training until getting approved because of some personal issues with my GF/ex GF that may have impacted my renewal.

If you lapse, can you get it renewed or do you have to do a new application? If you do not know, check with the department.

My renewal was already approved. The lapse my be between my expiration and pickup date. Getting training done on 7/19 and expire on 7/21. Don't think they will squeeze me in for pickup in that 2 day period but I can hope.

A question for you experienced folks.

I had my interview June 8th and my Interviewing Officer requested some documentation to support my good cause. I provided that a day or two after the initial interview via email (to him directly like requested) I followed up approximately two weeks after that since I did not receive a response. I did not receive a response the second time either so I followed up with him directly again about another two weeks after that (a little over one month from initial email) and have not received an answer. Would it be fair to contact the main CCW email and verify that they have the additional documentation on file?

                          I would've done that 2 weeks ago.

They usually get back to you within two weeks, but who knows how swamped they are at the moment.

If you never received any kind of acknowledgement that they received it, that would be reasonable. If they did acknowledge receiving it you just need to hang tight. Technically they have 90 to give you an answer.

                              Hey guys,

Got my final pick up date for next week. Just wanted to say thanks to everyone who contributed to this forum, and the other. Its been a long 8 months but it finally happened! No more checking my email every 5 minutes. I might kinda miss that
