Any feedback on how long this is taking?

    I know the process:

Just curious how quickly amendments are processing given the demand and any internal changes ...

Also what is the preferred method, mail or appointment?

I remember a post not too long ago. The poster mailed it and got the new card with a couple of weeks, if not sooner.

Just sent in my training cert today and I expire tomorrow. Emailed OCSD and they said administration has my app and don't carry once I expire.

I just got an email from the Sheriff that I have 'Conditional Approval' and to go forward with my Livescan. Oh boy, if I waited for this letter to start my lifescan it would be another 4 months down the road...
I'm glad I took the risk and submitted it back in April!
        Almost there...

Yeah, I looked back a few pages and didn't see anything, so I figured I would just ask.

I guess I will have to take my own advice and be patient ...

So today I received another email from OCSD saying that if I provided X amount of info that they could go through with the process. I figured that it would probably take at least a month to get my permit again and since I am planning to move out of state around October its not worth it.

Seems like OCSD or at least the person handling my case really wants to help me keep my permit so I think thats good, they just need more information from me. I am actually pretty surprised that they are pushing for me to keep it. So to those that are renewing provide as much info for OCSD and renewal shouldn't really be a problem.

Just though I would update since I did receive another response from them this morning.

After you move out of the county your permit would still valid for 30 days.

                            Outstanding.

We now know they are still issuing, both new and renewal permits.

Now we just need everybody's signature on the referendum to repeal the new anti-gun laws just signed by moonbeam.

                              upcoming CCW appointment

                              Hello all:

This is my first post to the site as I just registered this morning. I have a question regarding my upcoming appointment and hopefully someone can give me some guidance.
I requested an appointment back in march and was given a date of August 29. Last week OCSD emailed me saying my appointment was moved up to August 9. (Sweet!)
Now my question is this: is it a waste of time for me to try and obtain my CCW now that OCSD has stepped back from basically giving them away? I asked about the process on Reddit, in retrospect not the best place to seek advice on this matter. One of the replies I got back told me basically I have no hope unless I am in imminent danger. However, I am a registered Uber driver, but have yet actually start driving. Does anyone think that this would be sufficient good cause? Thank you all for any input you can give me and if this is not the proper place to pose this query, please excuse my ignorance. I look forward to hearing from anyone willing to give me their two cents.

                                Uber Firearms Prohibition Policy

Our goal is to ensure that everyone has a safe and reliable ride. That's why Uber prohibits riders and drivers from carrying firearms of any kind in a vehicle while using our app.

Anyone who violates this policy may lose access to Uber.
