Mailed my app with M/O: 6/24/22
Crickets... Crickets...
Called today 8/28/23, was told my app was entered into the system September and they just started working on the September apps so should be hearing very soon. Asked me to go complete my live scan which I just got back from.

Now we wait...

I see others have received confirmations when they send in their training certificates. As recently as June it appears “training received” was still part of the process (per CCW Timeline Tracker). It’s been over a month since I sent my docs in so I just called to double check as I’d heard nothing back.

The person I spoke with stated they DO NOT send confirmation of receipt of training certificates and that it will be a minimum of 6wks from when you send in your training certs to when you’ll be called for pickup.

So if you’re like me and have sent in your training but haven’t heard back, this is why. Probably best to wait at least 6wks until you worry and try to call for an update.

It’s approaching 18mon now for me from the start of the process but there’s light at the end of the tunnel.

i got a call today for the interview.looks like they switched to phone interview.Took 15-20 mins to complete mine via phone.

Looks like you and I were on almost identical timelines. 10 days between our original application submission and 13 days between our PTT. I lagged a little getting into training though and it took me a month because I was too busy with work. Would have done it in advance but I wasn?t sure how likely I was to be accepted and moved to that phase and it was gonna be inconvenient to fit into my schedule. Hopefully I get my call for pickup within the next 2-3wks.

I also thought that LASD didn't send out confirmations of receipt.

I took a chance and went to their website and emailed them through their "Contact us - CCW" page and they answered.

I did mines here I paid a bit more because I ended up doing more services with them like requesting my own livescan copy and doing fingerprint cards for the AZ ccw app.

I contacted them about two months ago with the same request. They emailed me saying that their current policy is no changes until next renewal due to the high volume of applications. I imagine if things were to slow down that policy could change.

At least you got a reply. I had received no response when I asked. I guess I am waiting until renewal…

Finally after about 15 months of waiting, I got the call to pickup my CCW. It has been a good journey indeed.

I'm about 1 month behind your schedule. Probably a lot closer if I did the training and livescan before like you did.

Woohoo! Just got a call from unknown number and had my interview.
Requested I send in my documents (utility bill, ID etc?)
Told me unfortunately it?ll be another 4 to 5 months at this time for PTT and additional 2 months to get the call to pickup license. So figure another 6 months from this point.

Don't forget to do your Live Scan. Mine took 12 days to clear, the hangup being the Firearms part. But at least it's all cleared.

I actually completed my live scan two days before my interview call on 8/28. FBI and CA check cleared same day and Firearms part just cleared this morning. I suppose I'd consider that quick.

Investigator assigned to me confirmed this morning she received all my documents so now we just wait for PTT.
