another question......after submitting my application online i realized I forget a couple things I would like to disclose....there is no option to edit my application but there is an option to submit more documents...would it be wise to write a letter in notepad disclosing those incidents and submitting that by uploading it in the document section or wait till the interview to verbally inform them?

They are going to ask you again during your interview, if you have anything you would like to disclose. Initial application isn't as important as disclosing it during interview imo. As long as it's nothing major.

They did for me in the past, but have not responded to my email from earlier this week. I would call them.

I used the general CCW email and I got a response at 10pm at night. My interviewer saw that I had written it and sent me her email where my paperwork needed to go. So while hit and miss, I’ve been lucky last two times with quick responses.

Does anyone else have an October 2022 application submission date? I called the CCW line and they said I was entered into their system January 2023 but my payment is missing even though I handed it to the local sheriffs station and the money order was cashed.

Coming up on a year and wondering if I should get my live scan done now to speed up the process. Any thoughts?

You should be able to go to the location you purchased the MO from and have them put a trace on the MO. They should be able to tell you who cashed it.

I got the money order from USPS but I don?t have the receipt anymore. Do you think they can still track it?

USPS doesn't allow tracing without a receipt. That's what I found when I googled the question.

If I recall correctly during my interview, they asked at the end if there was anything else you'd like to disclose that was not listed on the application. You could always start the interview off with that as well.

Has anyone been successful at getting LASD to add a gun prior to renewal? I recently picked up a subcompact that I would like to carry in in place of the compact I have currently listed.

Completed training today with Sentri at FT3 in Stanton, a great choice if you're in southeast LA County. Paul is a great guy and the class was very informative. Docs sent to CCW unit, now the long wait...

I contacted them about two months ago with the same request. They emailed me saying that their current policy is no changes until next renewal due to the high volume of applications. I imagine if things were to slow down that policy could change.
