Should we apply now? My good cause is “lawful self defense”. I don’t own a business, I don’t transport large sums of money, i do work in a bad neighborhood so my commute isn’t always the safest but it’s okay where I live…

You should prepare a proper Good cause statement anyway as it will take a long time for your case to be reviewed. Much can happen in that time and why present a file that is not up to next years scrutiny? They will ask for any related docs when it gets to that review period anyway.

I am past 1 year and the LASD CCW unit emailed me today; "your file and livescan return are under review"

Got word that nothing has changed for LASD...yet. They are still processing - and denying - based on good cause at the moment and awaiting guidance from the state. No specification on WHEN that will be. For all we know this could take a year. Nothing has changed for those previously denied..yet.

Some of you may have just gotten very unlucky timing while many of you will have very lucky timing.

we are still processing according to California Laws.
Once the state provides further guidance, we will make any updates needed.

I'll die of old age or road rage before anything changes.
