IIRC Duncan is stayed for ANJRPC and ANJRPC is stayed for NYSRPA

Thank you. It seems we have quite a long wait

Duncan has not been officially stayed, as far as I'm aware. It was argued en banc back in June so it's possible we'll get a decision very soon.

ANJRPC has yet to be granted or denied cert, presumably pending the outcome of NYSRPA.

If you're going through a DUI checkpoint, do you have to inform the LEO that you have a license to carry? What if you're not carrying?

Thanks, I wasn’t sure about that, thus the “IIRC.” While technically a possibility, I highly doubt CA9 will decide it while a SCOTUS decision about what to do with ANJRPC is still pending.

Right, I should have said “ANJRPC is being held, presumably to be GVRed after a NYSRPA decision.”

Bottom line: no difference, we still probably have at least half a year until a Duncan decision; more likely at least twice that.

This is about San Diego Co, but probably predicts LA Co’s future, assuming a pro CCW sheriff wins in June. Of course a Carry case win at SCOTUS will drastically improve things.

Thats 1.78 per 1,000 residents for San Diego County.

By way of comparison, in 2019 San Diego was at 0.34, and Shasta was at 45.5. Among counties with comparable populations, in 2019 Orange County was at 3.73, Riverside at 1.24, and San Bernardino at 3.24.

(CA county data sourced from https://web.archive.org/web/20210817...232198382.html; if you have more recent data, please post.)

Has AV had recent online town halls? Did anyone suggest to him to post on his CCW page monthly totals for 2-year CCWs or those other things I’ve suggested in the past?

I think shopping malls/centers like Westfield seem to be anticipating that SCOUTS decision goes in a certain direction, since they started posting at entrances what's not allowed in the malls, and firearms are on the list

I take my dad for his daily walk there - he likes it better than just going around the block or 2

That too, but it's also close enough that we don't have to actually make it a decision worthy kind of thing. But I can bet almost anything that those plaques with what's not allowed were not there before Turkey Day
