Does anyone know if there are any training held on a tuesday? Between kids and work, tuesday is the only day available for me.

Firing line Burbank classes are Tuesday, Thursday, and Saturdays.

Here my application process. Took forever but happy to have it now. My suggestion is to email them if its too long between contact(dont over use it). They told me they email me in January '23 for training but I never received it. They email back quickly and keep you in the loop with your application.

11/9/21- check cashed
9/15/22-Interview call
9/27/22-Live scan done
9/28/22-FBI/DOJ cleared
10/4/22-Interviewed
2/24/23-Training email
3/5/23- Training completed
6/3/23-Pick up call

Haven't seen this question addressed...Now that the class from the previous instructor at the Firing Line Burbank was replaced, will LASD honor cert from the class that was obtained before the class was removed?

Scott who is doing the classes over there now did answer this a couple pages back. Here's what he said:

I just talked to the sheriff's dept. They are accepting the certificates as long as they are not expired (over a year) and training was completed prior to them dropping from the list.

Just sent in my shooting proficiency form 30 min ago for renewal. Just got a call like 5 min ago saying it was approved and pick up Nov 17. Current license expires Nov 24th.

I just received my "authorized to complete the firearm training course" from CCW_Unit e-mail address. Since I did the course right after my interview, I just submitted it to them for processing. My interview was on 9/20/23 over the phone.

As someone who's just sitting around waiting for my call to pickup, I personally can't get that excited about this, BUT - seems to be good news for everyone else: 33 days between interview and P2T is the fastest I've seen.

I applied on 06/28/22, I was interviewed in early July 23. Last week I got the email to proceed to training and I completed the training 2 days later and submitted certificate and proficiency test the same day via email? Am i supposed to get a confirmation email that it was received?

They're not responding to the training email confirming anymore. I also found out they're checking their "training doc inbox" once a week so even though I sent my docs on 10/8 they couldn't confirm receipt when i emailed them on 10/12. I ended up calling them on 10/19 at which time they confirmed receipt.

I still think it?s bs that they take over a year to interview, over 3 months to let you know if you can proceed, then are told to take the class submit everything within 90 days or your application will be considered incomplete and done.

Yes, they give us no wiggle room while they take their sweet time unfortunately. I'm unsure how much of this is backlog and how much of it is just them trying to delay delay and delay on purpose.

Yes, he said 8 to 12 weeks to receive call to pickup so i'm anticipating I won't be picking up until January so fingers crossed the injunction is put in place on SB2.

LASD approve off roster pistols for CCW License?

Will an off-roster type G beretta px4 storm (decocker only) purchased awhile back during SSE be allowed as a pistol on the CCW license per LASD? I called LASD and they asked me to ask training, which seemed a bit weird.
