Just out of curiosity, did they respond?

After waiting for almost 6 months for an interview, not getting one, I sent in an email telling LASD to cancel my application. We put the house up for sale, have already purchased a home out of state, and will be moving there at the end of the month. Good luck to the rest of you. Hopefully one day it will take weeks, instead of a year to get one issued.

I totally agree with Ms Solomon, and use the same example as to the incongruity of proving you have High Value property to steal. Before you can get a CCW to protect YOURSELF.

Ok let's say it wasn't mis-paraphrased or conflated and instead said "Single black parents in the state, for example, may have difficulty proving they have "good cause" for obtaining a CCW permit."
It has been pretty much impossible to get a CCW in Los Angeles regardless of your race, gender, marital status etc. It also doesn't matter if you're a single black parent or a single white parent. It was impossible (and still kinda is) to get a CCW in Los Angeles. Also, I'm not black and I'm not rich and I have been unable to get a CCW in Los Angeles. Have I been doing something wrong this whole time? I'm honestly not sure why they're playing the race card. Get out of Los Angeles and you will have a much better chance of getting a CCW. And if the state is "racist", then you're literally the ones voting for the "racist" politicians because they're the ones writing the laws. So why are they complaining? lol
If their "activism" will make it easier for us to lawfully get a CCW, I'm all for it. But the race card stuff literally makes no sense.

No reply, just crickets. I was expecting some sort of canned response, but nothing. I am expecting them to call in the next month or so letting me know it's interview time. I don't think LASD has a grasp on what is happening due to the high number of Applications they have. My email is probably in the round file.

Update, I received a call from a different deputy today asking for proof of my recent matches to support my GC (light green, competitive shooting).
