I will also get my stuff together and send in fresh application soon as well. We had at least couple of shootings too close to me, and doesn't make me feel all warm and fuzzy

Is he now using the term "pending issuance" rather than "in the hopper"? I wonder what that means, applications that have been approved but not yet picked up? that seems like a lot. Why would there be so many in that stage?
I wish today's liberals could understand: You cannot be generous by giving away other peoples' money and you cannot demonstrate your virtue by your willingness to give up other peoples' rights.

The more time I spend on this forum, the more sense kcbrown makes.

Yeah that is what he said. It does sound like a lot, it could be it's just taking time for everyone to get their training done and schedule pickup. Or that number is reflecting initial approval, even before livescan is complete, so they're conducting interviews at a faster rate than actually issuing, if that makes sense.

Someone who likes to maintain a low profile PMed me. They got issued for Light Green GC!

They did an outstanding job documenting everything. It reminded me of the post CCWFacts made about establishing GC and GMC. See post #34 in my CA CCW Application Advice thread pinned at the top of the forum. Link: https://cdn.shopify.com/s/files/1/28...g?v=1593010919

Hopefully before July 4th SCOTUS will liberate us from the burden of GC for CCWs. But maybe not….

Hope SCOTUS issues the opinion sooner than that. Both today and tomorrow the court is scheduled to release opinions in argued cases this term.

interesting stats. so even if all the applications were magically approved today that would amount to ~12K new CCW holders in a county of 10 Million people or 0.1%.

I bet if it ever gets to 1% of the population in LA holding a CCW License you'd likely see a statistically significant drop off in crime. Even the dumbest criminals can do simple math, and the risk/reward ratio changes when they can't know with certainty which 1 in 100 citizens is carrying and capable of protecting themselves.

Currently, there is little to no consequences for committing crimes in L.A., including violent crimes. Until a few of these outstanding citizens get a CCW permit holder dirt nap, this upward trend will continue.
