Thanks for providing this. Pretty much answered my HIGH skepticism that LA County is awarding ccw based off light green GC. My suspicion is the relatively rare cases we are vaguely aware of that are light green were still somehow framed in a way to actually not be recreational.

Great info, thanks Kevwess! Possible explanation as to why I haven't received a call as my Light Green GC is recreation heavy and not work related. Oh well, hoping it gets more liberal come July 1. Good luck to everyone!

If you're worried wouldn't you be better off just going to get a live scan done on yourself and wait for the results? I'm assuming whatever you get is whatever they will get. Especially if you were a minor and had your records sealed / destroyed.

well I've had a live scan done several years ago when I was in the process to be a deputy.. I believe all was good, but I don't want to lie.. Integrity is at the top of their list, I think lol.. I would rather be honest and walk in with a clean conscious as opposed to lying and perhaps getting called on it. Embarrassing and well, automatic denial and most likely denial for my future.. I'm 39 years old and my theft was at the age of 17.. Hopefully they will look beyond that and see me as the adult that I am today.. Plus I'm a super nice guy lol....

All jokes aside, pray for me lol... judgement day is tomorrow !!

They received my application april 6th.. I got my call on sunday and my interview is tomorrow. Be patient that call will come.

Plus SCOTUS has granted review of at least one Carry case for next term. The decision will likely be released June 2022. That should help all the rest of us to carry, one way or another.

Yeah this. No one knows exactly what's going to happen, but in general, they wouldn't have granted cert if they were satisfied with the circuit court decision. And we know we have 5.5 votes on SCOTUS so it's reasonable to think that there will be a right to bear (carry a loaded gun) sometime next year. Everyone can see this, including sheriffs here.

And then I can finally take up golfing.... Ah, bliss!

It has gotten too long, and at this point all the information you need is here, and people who are serious about getting a CCW will just have to read this thread and learn what there is to learn and take action. Be smart, put in the effort, be organized, and get your applications in.
