Damn you smokes the MJ and forgot to bring all your documents? Lol wtf bro. Did you just walk up the building with a **** eating grin in Crocs and sweatpants and thought that was good enough? You've been waiting two months for this and he sent you an email on what documents to bring. Everyone needs to take this **** seriously, which I think most people are. Every meeting I had with LASD I went and got my haircut, balls shaved and ******* bleached.

Carrying is a HUGE responsibility, mate. If the deputy can't trust you to bring your documents to the interview, how can they trust you to carry a loaded firearm in public?

Did he even ask you to provide the documents via email or anything?

I think we just found ourselves our first recorded denial on CGN.

The famous Lockdown has replied. Thank you for the kind words sir. I did bring the requested documents. I didn't bring extra copies. As for the marijuana, it was 6 months ago and I am not a liar. I am a very honest person. If I am denied for that then so be it. If I am denied for not bring the extra copies then I wouldn't know how to feel

That doesn't hold water. The deputy took copies of all 50 pages of my documentation. What copies did you not bring? Are they asking for copies of your passport instead of your actual passports? Or in your case, copies of cash deposits in large sums instead of the actual deposit slips?

LASD has a copy machine. I'm just unclear what you presented to the deputy at the meeting what was missing.

I'm not smart enough to know gun laws and how it pertains to the devil's lettuce. Someone much smarter than me will have to answer that one.

My friend Lockdown, I presented all of the required documents he said requested. I just did not make extra copies and he had to go make the copies.

I'm pretty sure the process will be changing a lot because it's new for the county. I'm still optimistic and positive. I really appreciate you all responding!! I do have great cause. I wrote a three paragraph statement and have supporting information to go along with it. I am not someone that just turned 21 and is applying for the hell of it.

Hey guys! I see a lot of people posting on here about their experience with the CCW process and decided to give it a go. I submitted my application back on 4/1, got a phone call from a restricted number on 6/23, had my interview on 6/28.

I am a business owner and carry cash and private confidential information from my clients such as ssn and etc. The interview was really quick and lasted about 10 minutes. I forgot to bring copies of my requested documents and just brought in the documents itself. The investigator seemed a bit mad about that.

He continued to go through yes/no questions. I did answer yes when he had asked me if I had ever smoked marijuana. I went ahead and explained my answer and told him that I am not a frequent user and it was 6 months ago. He told me that 'that may be a concern" which freaked me out a bit. After a few minutes of talking he said "alright, that's it."

He did not give me a livescan form and told me to wait on the livescan until I hear back from them. I asked him how long will it take to hear back and he replied a few weeks. I'm still optimistic and very positive and I hope that everything will go smooth.

When he asked me the last time I smoked MJ I literally had to think about it and it was more than 13 years ago. Then he asked how many times and I said "a handful" and he asked "what's a handful to you?". So I just said 5-6 times but never since then. He grilled me for specifics but he also didn't tell me that it's a concern. I DID get a Live Scan form from him but he didn't say or not say to go do it so I just went and did it yesterday to get that out of the way. But I am in the same boat as you. If I get denied, I get denied.

4. At the end, there was a 2 sided sheet of a lot of yes/no questions to things like "have you ever been fired/terminated from a job? Why?", "have you ever been in a fight as an adult?". I feel like even though there'd be no easy way to find out about these things, it was better to be completely honest. One question "Are you seeing a psychologist or psychiatrist?" I answered honestly, that I see a therapist, and he asked what kind and for what. And it's for nothing serious...just relationship/work advice, etc. but I feel like there's still a stigma about saying you're getting therapy.

Jesus this is outrageous. "None of your ****ing business" should be the correct answer. Really looking forward to the NYSRPA v. Corlett opinion.

The whole bring your own copies thing must be relatively new. When I received the phone call to schedule the interview, there was no mention of make your own copies. The deputy just asked me what to bring. Made copies of all my things with no issue. This was less than a month ago now. Things are changing quick.

The email I got from my deputy said copies. Copies was bolded and underlined.

I took that as a hint.

When I showed up for the interview and handed him the copies, he said, "finally, someone read the email".
