Just a word of caution from what I’ve learned from my CCW course.

Be cautious about what modifications you put on the gun, as it may not be a legal issue, but more of a subjective issue in the eyes of the jury in a state/county that despises guns.

A good shoot is a good shoot in a criminal case, and if its black and white you’re good to go. But i’ve learned that in court, they’ll try their best to make you look bad to the jury.

Take it with a grain of salt! I just want my fellow calgunners to be safe!

You're not taking in your firearm to the building for them to check.
All that is done at your training provider.

The serial # on the frame is the only thing that matters.
The serial # on your qualification sheet signed off by the trainer is the only thing that matters.

You could literally have "Gh0StGuN" on your slide and no one will think anything of it. Except that maybe you're a retard.

You're still overthinking it.

I don't think a street cop is going to check your serial # against your CCW card.

And if he does, it will match because the serial number, under the your WML is on the frame, not on the slide/barrel. The slide/barrel serial # does not matter.

As a medically retired former cop, I can tell you, you guys are overthinking too deep. This is how it goes for a traffic stop.

1st. we run your plate first before lighting you up.
2nd. we will advise you why this traffic stop was initiated.
3rd. we will ask you if you have any contrabands or guns in the vehicle.
4th. we will confirm your identification and check wants and warrants.
If you advised LEO that you have a CCW permit, we will ask where is your gun and advised not to reach for it. Then we will ask for your permit and confirm the CCW. Any discrepancy we noticed, then we will take appropriate actions. such as you are carrying the wrong gun in the permit or carrying an expired permit. Most of the time, a CCW permit is a welcome sign for LEO.

5th. based on your response and attitude, you will get a warning or ticket.

Remember that all of these transactions are recorded. So behave professionally.
