My status so far..

4/5/21 mailed in application
4/15/21 money order was cashed
Today 5/20/21... I"m still waiting on that phone call lol.. Did they forget about me? I know they are backed up but as time goes by I get more and more nervous. Will I get it? Will they call? What are they going to ask me? Will I be grilled or perhaps I'll pass with flying colors.. oh man this anticipation is killing me.. The last time I asked for a CCW application was at the age of 21.. I was basically told not to waste my time.. Well i'm 39 now so yeah, A long time waiting on my part..

Guys and gal of calgunners.. Cross your fingers for me.. I'll do the same for all of you and then some..

My check was cashed 4/28. I was getting antsy and kind of forgot about it but still no call or anything. I just have to remember to answer when the "unknown" number calls and not ignore it

Everyone needs to chill on the timeline. Most of those who submitted their applications in early to mid March appears to be getting through the process in about 2 1/2 to 3 months time. I suspect it's longer than that now. Just get your applications in, do a good job on it, and wait for your call. If you're like me and screen your calls, you'll have to start answering calls from restricted or unlisted numbers, but they are good about leaving their contact information if you miss the call. The biggest delay for everyone has been the firearms portion of the Livescan. It would be nice to learn what is actually occurring during that portion of the check to see if it's just a manpower issue or DOJ playing their petty games. I suspect it's more likely the former given how bureaucracies work (or don't work).

Status update.

After confirming I did not need to wait for a denial from LAPD I sent my application in April 26. Received on the 27th.

Check cashed May 18.

Light red GC in my opinion.
