Yup, we all know that's on the site. But in practice, as I've stated, firearms can be added (and removed) mid-term; confirmed in the interview along with the process to do so. Although, I'm sure with the massive jump in CCW carriers, they will probably come up with a more efficient protocol sooner than later.

I asked my interviewing deputy as well and he says we can add or remove up until we submit our training documents. After that you have to wait for renewal. Until they change what is written on the website I would go with what’s written and not what I was told.

Read those last two paragraphs: the BoS aren’t happy AV didn’t ask permission or even informed them first. Ha! After all the crap they give him.

(And it’s great news to see LASD cleaning up Venice Beach. AV is doing the job the BoS is supposed to do. That homelessness mess is the result of compassion run amok, pathological altruism.)

Now comes the fight with the BoS over funding. With the CCW Unit running smoothly AV can truly says he’s read to issue CCWs to virtually all law-abiding residents to counter any crime wave cause by budget cuts. He won’t be bluffing and the BoS will know it. Now is when things get interesting....



If that “full briefing” is at a public meeting or public virtual meeting (Zoom), as many CGNers as possible should attend and support Villanueva.

For those who have been through this process, did you submit all your back up documentation in regards to your good cause with your actual application or did you bring the back up documentation to the interview?

It doesn't hurt to send it in with your application.. It might show that your ahead of the game and you provided everything they need ahead of time.. if they need more they'll let you know once you get that call.. at least this is what makes sense to me.. I sent in everything with application and I added a side not sayin " if you need more documents I will gladly provide them when I come in to the interview" .. In my opinion it shows motivation, and that I'm going the extra mile to make it convenient for them so they don't have to think harder than they already are due to some applicants not following directions. I want to make this as easy as possible for them. Also that give them a head start perhaps to look into my case before I show up for the interview.. I guess we'll c.

Same here. They received my application on the 15th of April. Check cashed two weeks later. Still waiting on call or denial letter. I had a missed call from an unknown number a few days ago but no voicemail was left. So probably not LAUSD. LG good cause. Wish I would have included some work stuff too. I'm hoping I get an interview to get a chance and explain my work related stuff too. Just a waiting game at this point.

It's not the end of the world... You will have the chance to bring all your documents with you.. My check was cashed April 15th and I'm still waiting for that call. I think all of us will come home with a big smile on our faces..

They're still calling people the first week of April. It probably wont be another 2-3 weeks until they start on 2nd week of April applications.
