Right now it seems the total average time from the time applied to the time received is just over 2 years, and unfortunately it seems to be trending up even more.

Yup! Definitely going to take longer for the people that applied within 2 years of the Bruen decision. The # of applications increased each month after more and more people found out that CCWs in LA were being granted without 'good cause'.

I doubt the # of applications submitted is still as high as it was for first 12 months after Bruen

When I had my phone interview back in April, the deputy was "surprised" that I hadn't heard from anyone in the department in the past 2 years. He mentioned he was newer to the team and they were assigning more deputies to the department, but who knows if that actually happened.

Trending up more, I applied right at the beginning of August 2022 and still waiting on proceed to training. :-/

Got the call / phone interview today. Sent documents already. Going to try to get a Livescan today. I shouldn't need a firearms livescan, as I already mantain a COE as an instructor, but we'll see.
