I try to make sense of it but maybe I'm just fooling myself. I applied two months after hartp821. All other things being equal, I should've received a call to schedule an interview two months after he did, which would be late February. Still haven't received that first call, so an extra four months and counting were added to the process.

My guess is that I'll get the call to schedule an interview in September, two years after I submitted my application, but it's all throwing bones and reading tea leaves.

You are absolutely correct, there is no making sense of this at all. According to the spreadsheet where people have been posting their timelines (I dont remember who created it now), there are a decent amount of people who applied after me, anywhere from a few days to 5 months, who have already finished the process and picked up. In fact, I have a friend who applied the same day as me, 7/01/22 and has had his CCW for a year now!

After the Bruen decision, the number of applications submitted skyrocketed. If LASD didn't increase their CCW staff then the delay between applicants is going to increase substantially. I bet all those permitium interviews are going to be delayed again.
Us, calgun.net users, are the minority. Even though you applied the same week as another person, there could be hundreds of other individuals who applied that same week.

                  Alright!

Looking for advice on two things.

                  1. I submitted my LASD CCW application 1/23 and the check was cashed a couple of weeks later. Since then all I've gotten has been spam calls. What should I do next, wait, email, call?

                  2. How do I put my dates in my signature? I poked around a bit but couldn't find it. If anyone could save me some time, I'd appreciate it.

                  Thanks

Just an update to my updated post in March of this year:

Received the 2nd letter of denial (1st denial was insufficient good cause) dated June 17, 2023 on 6/21 stating the reason of denial was "Failure to disclose information" (wut?! I answered every single question asked via the phone interview, paid the livescan again and emailed all the requested document within 24 hours) and a phone number to contact a sgt. if I have any question about this letter. To make matter worse, I have 10 business days to get in touch.

Been trying to speak to this sgt. on a daily basis since the 24th with no success, voicemail left, and still trying at this moment.

Then I emailed the initial POC (the female deputy who telephone interviewed me back in March) hoping to at least get some sort of help. Nope, no calls, no replies...

I would've donated if they asked for some donation and be fine with that... rather than go through all these nonsense TBH... ?

Proceeded to call back and spoke to a sweet sounding female deputy. She asked if I was still interested in applying for CCW.

Long story short, there's no need to visit the station, everything will be done via email. I will need to resubmit proof of residency, DL, passport, new live scan since my original one expired, etc., and that's pretty much it.

She'll then forward the completed docs to an investigator and the whole process will take 3~4 months (according to her). Once approved, I'll be notified via email to go pick up my permit.

The whole phone conversation took about 15 min and was essentially the same as the in-person interview I did back in 2021.

Off I go to get my live scan...

Was all this after the phone interview or after PTT? Did you ever received a PTT?

By any chance have you ever had "failure to appears" or bench warrants?

Neither. Bunch of "fix-it" tickets back in the early 2000's fast and the furious days.
