Im wondering if the lady mean they are backed up for applicants put into the system of November of 2022 which technically is applications mailed/sent during July/August of 2022.

She definitely meant applicants who were entered into the system Nov 22, who, like you said, mailed/sent during July/August 22.

Right? I was just going off of Nuke_em?s comment where that sentence seemed vague so hoped he doesn?t take it as November?s application of 2022 and having way more higher hopes than some of us that are July of 2022 applications.

Looking back at it there's about 4 months where i procrastinated so my timeline definitely could have been shorter. I didn't have utility bills in my name at the time of interview since i had just moved and work was getting in the way once i was approved to schedule my CCW class.

It's so nutz to me that I did mine pre-bruen and it took exactly 12 months. How you submitted just 2 months after and waited 2 years

7/29/2022 I mailed my applications to LASD.
I thought I had read on the LASD web site, ?if you applied on or before 8/2022 proceed to do a live scan?.

8/3/2023 I did my live scan.
1/23/2024 I got my phone interview. She said ?normally it would be in person but they are doing phone interviews for now? She asked a couple questions (more like 50 questions) Then asked I submit a copy of my driver license, passport and utility bill. Do my live scan if not done so already. I told her I submitted it back in August of 2023 and she said, ?so we already have it, great? She also asked I submit copy of the completed request showing your ATI number and wait for our email to proceed to training. She said everything looks good on her end.

Now it?s the waiting game?. Again.

Hopefully we're not assigned to the deputy that's taking their sweet *** time. We mailed ours before his but no call yet. Whack!

Your application has been received. You will be contacted when your file has been assigned to an investigator. We are working diligently to process all applications and they will be assigned in the order received.

On the last email I sent on 1/8/2024 I got

Your file has been assigned, you will be contacted when the investigator is ready to schedule you for your interview.

And on 1/23/2024 I got the phone call/interview.

Okay, finally got a call NO CALLER ID today! Saturday... froze for a second and thought no way!!! answered and sure enough. Have a pickup date on 2/21/24
I started on 6/27/22. Dates are on the spreadsheet. So a total of 579 days.

According to the spreadsheet it was 560 days from the day I sent my application in to the day I received a call for interview.

How did you find out about this??

I emailed CCW unit and they responded we do not have your application in our system. I emailed them proof - copy of the application, fedex tracking and copy of check they cashed.

At first I got the, tough luck. You have to re apply using the online and pay again, which I did.

A week later, they email me again with a PDF version to fill out and send it back, which I did.

I asked do I start over at the beginning of the line or put "line in" with those that applied back in December 2022. All I got was "we process the applications in which they are received." I asked you received my on December 2022 and again in December 2023. Are you back dating to December 2022? The response was, again, " we process the applications in which they are received."

I know two people that applied same time I did in December 2022 and they just got their permits late last year.

So as if now, I am confirmed for an appointment for Feb 2025.
