It is for new applications however I fell into the area where I submitted my application June of 2022.

    A few things happened:

    - Got my training done in August of 2022, my certificate expired by the time I received the P2T email.
    - With the timing of my P2T email, SB2, and the holidays, I wasn't able to take a shorter 8 hour class before the new law went into effect.

    Oh well. Almost there!

I took it with Medic Up Consulting.

I?m getting a bit more excited that 07/22 applications are starting to get some little movement! Hopefully they are getting into the 11/22 queues.

It is weird, they are charging extra $85 for training cert for Arizona and this is sort of BS. I just did AZ permit and provided my CA training cert and it was perfectly accepted. This sound like trap for $85, but it is optional. Keep in mind AZ doesn?t require any special training at all. It will even accept your CCW as training requirements.

Well, I finally got some good news over the weekend and among all days last Saturday and get this, they texted me first to call number for ccw pickup. I called right away and got all info needed. What a long time to wait almost two years from app.
Any how all I can say is be patient, good luck to all good citizens and keep on training. Requirement is only 8 hours during that time but I will still suggest to do at least 16 hours and some sort of advance street defense training and adding first aid. Do it at least every six months and range time at least once a month. It can only benefit all of us.
8 hours should be more then enough for permit qualification as requirement. You can do as much as you want to, may be 200 hours, but on your own.

Everyone's gotta make their money somehow! I paid the extra $85 to get my AZ certificate with my qualification.

After jumping through all the hoops, red tape, and time, I'd rather have a small piece of mind that the AZ permit will be processed without any hiccups.

Hey guys, if someone is currently in the midst of a long wait with LASD (over a year) and wants to sign a declaration in support of CRPA as a CRPA (or GOA, GOC, or SAF) member, let me know.

                    I would need to know:

                    1. Your name.
                    2. When you applied.
                    3. What has happened since you applied (e.g. have you had interview? Livescan? Any other contact with them? provide relevant dates)

We have our two plaintiffs on this issue but a supporting declaration or two would be nice just to avoid LASD granting permits to only our plaintiffs in a cynical move to moot the issue.

If you are interested, email me at kmoros@michellawyers.com. Thanks!

They will accept any training Cert. As I said I used mine for LAPD and I got my AZ card exactly in 20 days from moment I click ?confirm? on app to card delivered to my door. In AZ they have different set of mind on this Consitutional Rught. Just saying. You can gift your money to anyone. But I still insist-this place should let you know that AZ will accept CA cert. It is sound as car dealers selling Nitrofill. The same rip off.

Just received my pre-call this afternoon. They verify your email address then send an Applicant Document Request form that requires the following to be submitted within 2 days:

                        1) LASD CCW Live Scan form showing ATI number (you have 14 days to submit this if you haven't done it yet).
                        2) Valid CA DL or CA ID (you may not possess a DL from another state).
                        3) Current utility bill (water, gas, electricity, or cable/home internet - no exceptions). Must be a recent bill in your name and match your residence address. If in spouse's name, must also submit a certified marriage cert.
                        4) US Birth Cert, Valid US Passport, Naturalization or Permanent Resident Card.
                        5) DD-214 if applicable.

Once received, they'll assign your application to an investigator. Good luck all of us still in-process.

AZ only requires an NRA certified instructor. All the guys over at Medic Up are awesome and provide a great class. I have taken a handful with them including their CCW course.

Your application date is very close to mine. Its interesting to me that there seems to be two different things going on, this "pre-call" and then phone interviews. Especially since we are quite close in application date.
