I completed my training in mid October 2023 and submitted my proof of completion the same day. Then in late December I received the call to arrange pick-up. I picked up in early January 2024 (a week after the phone call).

Just got the call from the CCW Unit. Asked for my email and already received it asking for my documentation. Came from a 'Private Number'.

Not sure yet, but I'll start looking into it again soon. If anyone has a good experience from a 16hr course, it would be great info to hear.

I did my training through medic up consulting they made the course easy 8 hours is broken into a few zoom classes and then an 8 hour range day with some medic training stuff included in the class overall it was easy and not that boring.the class came out to about $350 with 10% off for signing up for their emails

I missed a call today also at 01:32PM "No Caller ID/Unknown" on my iPhone with verizon wireless service.

I was out in the field working and couldn't have my phone on me, but the lady left a voicemail verifying my email and to check email for additional documents requested in order to move forward with application.

Uploading requested documents as typing this now.

I am currently using the Verizon Wireless 5G home router as my home internet. Does anybody know if this would this bill still work as a utility cable/home internet bill requested?

I would call them. Why speculate? Get the answer directly from them, especially since you only have 2 days to get the documents they're requesting.

I did, but I called after hours of their office hours. Going to call tomorrow morning.

Finally the day arrived. I am now a CCW license holder. Picked it up this morning. If only i knew they would be taking a photo on the spot to put on the license i would have got a nice cut at least lol.

I couldn't find the Shooting Proficiency Standards form for LA County Sheriff's Dept. I used the LAPD version and revised it with Adobe Pro. Let me know if you want a copy. I don't think there's a way for me to share it here but you can PM me your email and I'll send the PDF.

Called the ccw unit today to confirm if they received my training docs that I sent on Saturday 02/10

she said they haven't looked at any emails yet that were sent over the weekend, but she politely looked up my name and found my email.

She told me a minimum of 6 weeks before I can receive a call for pickup.

does anyone know the average time from training docs sent --> call for pickup

Been a long time coming! I thank everyone here posting on this forum as I have been monitoring it religiously seeing how long the process is taking for everyone, so I thought I would make an account for myself and put my timeline of the process for people who have questions similar to mine and join those who want to help others!
