Once SB2 is signed it will be the nail to seal CCW?s fate in California beginning 1/1/2024. 95% of California will be unlawful to CCW.

We pray for a quick injunction as to at least some of the clearly unconstitutional sections.

If that 213 number from google matches what?s on their website www.lasd.org/ccw which is (213) 229-3110 then it?s most like because they are very busy and will be hard to get a hold of a live person throughout the day.
I?m sure your call should be coming up soon because they are working on applications that they placed in their queue system for October 22.

judging by going through this whole thread I have gone through from page one? I believe they just started working on peoples applications that were received in June of 2022 (which most should be inputted for October 2022). Patience.

i was finally able to get them to answer the phone they said my application was entered october 12th and that i should be receiving a call in a few weeks. if you google the phone number for the ccw unit google suggests the wrong one i suggest calling the one on the lasd page. them telling people to drop off your applications at your local sheriff station really screwed over alot of people adding unnecessary time to peoples already long process.

I emailed them and they got back to me twice within a few hours. Once was like at 10pm, and the other was like at 9am. So I've had good look just using that method. I was working with someone so that may have helped, but the first email for sure went to the general email and they were responsive YMMV.

yeah i dont try or suggest to email them anymore because all ive ever gotten was the same generic response with no helpful information for over a year i suggest calling their number over and over and youll get an answer eventually (213) 229-3110 the guy who answered was nice and gave me more information then ive gotten in 15 seperate emails to them

I?m sure he didn?t and he posted that as to saying it?s been 14 months since he mailed his application and not received a call yet. Otherwise it would have be edited in his signature.

After the long wait, I just picked up. I guess, I?ll enjoy my 3 months and some change before commie CA takes away my right.

Pray for an injunction or stay until the case works its way to court.

There seems to be quote the lul in activity on this thread. I wonder if thats any indication as to how slow/fast LASD is processing apps.

Typically we see quite a few posts per week about calls and pick ups. Last few weeks have been few and far between.

Just speculating but could it be they are focusing on renewals now since I'm assuming we're coming up on 2 years since they started issuing. The Deputy that took my interview said to expect a 4 to 5 month wait for PTT ... then another 2 to 3 for pickup call.

these long wait times are BS...they make money on every applicant therefore they should have enough man power to meet the demand

waiting over a year in limbo is absurd ...this needs to be fixed

Don?t expect a response, only some people get them. I didn?t. You can call to check but so far I?ve yet to see instances where lack of communication was actually due to something being missed. They may be slow, but seems people aren?t slipping thru the cracks.

Just wait patiently until they call you for pickup.

NO WAY they are ?making? money on this. I?d be willing to bet they are running at a loss. For the total cost of $150 ($30 application fee + $120 license fee) there?s no way they?re even covering the hourly wages needed to cover the time deputies are working on the apps. Deputies are paid roughly $40-70+/hr which doesn?t include additional cost for pension, other benefits..etc.
