From what I understand, there is a considerable delay when submitting to your local station instead of mailing to the CCW unit at Hall of Justice downtown. I mailed mine in a few days after you submitted yours and I got my call for interview May 24th. Did they cash your check?

Welp. I see the prices changed, the online website changed, no longer apply sooner than 90 days, no longer use of rental/lease agreements.

Does anyone know if you need to complete the live scan again for renewals?

I tried to use a utility bill when I went in for my interview but it was too old. They accepted my vehicle registration instead. I don't know if that is still the case.

No. You just pay a DOJ fee of $52 at time of pickup instead.

I did mine in end of March and he said "3-5 months" from Interview to receipt of PPT email. I still suspect these are fairly wild guesses and that applicants will continue to see widely varying wait times. Whether there's a reason for those different wait times - who knows.

My understanding is that the time between interview and PTT is the time they perform their background investigation on you. There is a wide range of time that investigation can take depending on the applicant. They might have to chase down things you disclosed in the interview.

I disclosed something from over 20 years ago but it was so long ago I didn't have any details. If it was important to their investigation, they would've had to scour a lot of sources to get information.

Yup, that's definitely a big factor although I imagine there are many more - like which person is doing the review. I think I'm in a similar situation as my interviewer mentioned that my app will likely take a little longer to review and I'd be on the longer end of that range. That said, with how things have gone so far I'd be surprised if it was that quick. I'm just constantly trying to lower my expectations, lol.

I'm so disappointed that SCOTUS said "Shall issue" and LASD still says "no"
They accepted a cable bill. Im sure a cellphone bill will be good too.

                        End of the Road!

Picked it up today! Finally! What a time-consuming ordeal.

Got Arizona, got California. I wonder how long Utah will take (applied to AZ and UT same day)?

Got a call this morning to schedule an interview for the week of 6/19. Caller ID showed wireless caller with a 213 area code. I don't know if I'm happier about actually getting the call, or that I no longer have to answer the thousands of spam calls I've been getting per week.

See my signature for timeline, but as another data point I found out my application was entered in their system in October and as of mid-May they were working on July applicants. Doesn't really mean much considering all the variables, but thought I'd throw it out there.

                            Edit to add -

Anyone have any trainers they can recommend around the Long Beach area? Also, curious to know how the interview process is from any recent interviewees?

I believe the closest would be FT3 in stanton to be around the LB area... I ended up going with Medic Up Consulting up in Burro Canyon.

When I called about two weeks ago, I was told that I was inputted into their system for November and they told be they were working on August entries.
