Picked mine up today! 2.5 years.

Almost didnt get it. Their address for my place of work was wrong, somewhere in Boston, so random. Got it corrected.

Unlike some experiences, mine wasnt a straight forward pick up. I gave a thumbprint, the took a picture, verified my occupation and place of work.

Officer Kirkpatrick (?) was very helpful.

1. It doesn?t seem to matter. All those who submitted early ended up still getting a pick up date close to their expiration. I submitted mine 92 days before expiration and got mine in 89 days.
2. No. Good cause is no longer part of the updated application.
3. No. LASD doesn?t require any supporting documents for GMC.

My call was not from a private number. It was from a local number, so yes, ignoring oshkosh will work!

I'm renting a room in a house and have no means by which I can be named on a utility bill. Am I boned?

I (re) submitted my application at the Santa Clarita sheriffs station on June 23rd 2022, THE DAY Clarance Thomas made his decision on the issue. I have still not heard back. I’m hoping my paperwork hasn’t been lost and current wait times are over a year?! Sheesh.

"Proof of Residency: Copy of (1) full page statement that reflects your name and Los Angeles County residence address from one of the following service providers: (Statements must be dated within the last 90 days. We DO NOT accept past due statements. We DO NOT accept any items other than those listed).
o Gas/Electric
o Water
o Garbage
o Cable/Internet
o Rental/Lease agreement"

Do you have a rental/lease agreement for where you are currently living? That should work as well.

Do you have a rental/lease agreement for where you are currently living? That should work as well.

That's interesting they're saying a rental/lease agreement will work. When I applied/interviewed in 2022, I had just moved and had no bills yet so submitted my lease agreement. All was fine until October, and got a call saying they needed a utility bill and they could not accept and move forward with the lease agreement. Hopefully that has changed, as a lease agreement is a pretty good proof of residency lol

I just spoke with the CCW unit and the deputy I spoke with confirmed they are NOT taking rental or lease agreements as proof of residency. She stated if you do not have a utility bill in your name to please ask the account holder to add you to the bill and that can suffice, as long as your name is listed.

Well, I guess the document that they provided to me for the acceptable documents is not correct, perhaps it's only utility bills.
