This is the only confirmation I got from them when I emailed after not receiving response from them after sending in my training docs - Your file is pending final review. The minimum time frame for this is 6 weeks. You will be contacted when your file has been approved and we are ready to issue your license.

OK, so I have a question to see if anyone has been in a similar situation. I got my call to pick up my CCW from LASD. That appointment is ~ 2- weeks out. After living in the same home for 30-years, we recently moved... approximately 3-miles away from our old house. When I go in to pick up my CCW, I'm torn about how to answer the inevitable, "is this still your current address?" What happens if I say no, I've moved? I can bring a utility bill and a car registration as proof of a new address. Would that fly? Obviously I want to be truthful, but I've waited 17-months and I don't want to screw something up at the finish line!!! Part of me just wants to say, yes, everything is current and then do the address change process (whatever that is) with them in the coming weeks.

Anyone been in a similar situation and provided new address information and not get sent home without their CCW?

NEVER LIE!!!!! Do what you said; bring all the proof of your new address. I assume you're still in the same county.

I agree. They could disqualify you if you?re caught lying. Might say you?re not of good moral character. They?ll then start questioning how honest you were about the other questions on the application.

I had changed jobs since my initial application. They asked if that (pointing to old address) was still current...I said "no", gave the new address, and all was well

Thanks guys. I'll let them know the new address and I'll have the "proof" if they need/require it.

On another note, does it seem like they're slowing down application processing? I've been keeping up this thread since I applied. Normally seems like 9 months was average to receive the interview, now its pushing 12+. Someone mentioned they still haven't received their Proceed To Training after three months. Others have mentioned they never received PTT training documents received after two+ months.
I was thinking the same thing. I had my interview back on Nov 29, and after 21 weeks I?m still waiting for my PTT email. Emailed about a month ago and they told me my file was pending review.

I told them I smoked marijuana in high school a few times (12+ years ago) in my initial interview back in 2021. No issues as I was issued a permit!

But what I am reading the problem will be is the firearms are DROS'd as single shot, not semi auto

Do not lie, bring all the documentation with you to show proof of address change. Bring in USPS address change form, DMV address change form, utility bill(s) etc... Only issue I can possibly think of is that your DL/ID will not have the new address on it, but I doubt it since you have the bills

"Pending review" or "pending final review" seems like a generic response now when asking for an update after your interview.

Been a little while since I've posted but wanted to remind anyone who's interested that the spreadsheet in my signature exists for those interested in adding their info on their LASD CCW timeline. I went through the last couple pages to add a few more members... Most recently it looks like we have someone who submitted their application on 5/9, check cashed 6/28, and interview was 4/4.... So perhaps they're scheduling roughly the late-June check-cashed people.
