You can have any legally owned handgun that is registered to you in California on your CCW list.

Handgun Requirements

Any handgun that the applicant intends to carry and have listed on their CCW license shall meet the below criteria prior to being used during their required firearms training. Failure to follow the criteria or failure to adhere to CA state and federal regulations will result in the immediate suspension and/or revocation of the license.

The handgun must be registered/DROS to the applicant.
The handgun must be concealable upon the person or reasonably sized bag or purse.
The handgun, magazines, and ammunition must be in compliance with applicable CA state and federal laws.

They sell 10 round magazine for P365X/XL and the HELLCAT. I'm not making this up. I know someone who has off roster handguns on their LASD CCW.

You can legally acquire and register an off-roster pistol via a number of ways which would be considered in compliance with CA law. You are incorrect.

As others have said, for CCW, it has to be a concealable pistol registered to you in AFS. PERIOD.

I had to sign a ccw permit agreement today when I picked up earlier today.. in the document, one of the statement reads "Regardless of whether I'm carrying a firearm, when contacted by ANY law enforcement officer, I SHALL advise them that I am a CCW holder."

I also asked the Deputy if we are allowed to carry more than one gun if we have multiple guns listed on the CCW.. she said someone else had asked last week and they didn't have an answer to it. She said, as long as it's on your license, I don't see why not.. and there's no law that states you cannot carry more than one.

Thanks! it felt really really good to finally have it.. I just mailed in my AZ CCW packet today too... hopefully that'll come in a few weeks cuz I have a vegas trip planned in March and want to carry during that trip. hope you get the elusive NO Caller ID call soon!

Congratulations on getting your permit...long journey..I'm glad you applied for your Arizona permit...when possible , apply for Utah and Florida too...and get some CCW Insurance as well..again congratulations.

Took the class at the firing line Burbank. Im 30 y/o and felt like the youngest guy in the class... Most of the guys say they've been applying for 10 plus years.

BTW any cal guns meetings? We should do a local Carry to Cars and Coffee hang out and socialize.

Congratulations on getting your permit...long journey..I'm glad you applied for your Arizona permit...when possible , apply for Utah and Florida too...and get some CCW Insurance as well..again congratulations.
