Quick question before I head over to Wal-mart, hope someone can answer me quick -

I'm a rifle newbie - will all scopes fit on the rifle? Is there anything in particular I need to look for?

Looks like they're factory mags. I bought a few at Big 5 with the 20% coupon. They ended up around $15.

In general all scopes will fit. Its the rings that hold the acope on that you have to be careful. Make sure you get the rings with the small rail clamp, its should say something airgun to .22 scope rings.

For the rings, you need 3/8 dovetail (or called tip off) rings, not weaver.

Thanks a ton for the help guys. I'll be picking up the scope tomorrow

Edit: Does anyone own/know if this bi-pod works with the 795?

Also, anyone know of this scope?

For $6.99 it comes with rings - I think I may just buy it and see what it's like - if anything the rings are worth $7.

They came in Marlin packaging and are identical to the one that came with the rifle.

It's the same scope that comes with many bb/pellet guns. I'm guessing those are not even 1" rings so maybe not even worth $7. Just don't expect it to be more then what your paying for. If your planning on shooting in the 50-100 yard range then you might want to reconsider. There are great deals to be found in the $40-50 range (3x9's).

Does anyone own this case? http://www.amazon.com/Allen%C2%AE-Ma...5002829&sr=1-1

I'd like to know if the gun with a bipod and a scope on it will fit in this case or not. I sort of doubt it, but it's worth a shot if anyone here has this case.

No you really need a rectangle style case if you want to fit scope & bipod.

I'm assuming that's the same dimensions as the cheap rifle cases at Walmart. I could fit the 795 with scope without a problem. I can fit it with a bipod & scope as well... but it's a tight squeeze, a VERY tight squeeze. Which is why I picked up a cheap rifle rectangle rifle case at the Gun Show... too bad it's 1" too short... Then again it was $15.00.

My bipod showed up today!! And it looks really good attached to my rifle. Forgive me for no pictures. Now I'm just waiting on my extra mags and I'm go to go. My total cost for the rifle is still under $250.

                        Shooters Ridge Bipod Issue

I bought a Shooters Ridge 9-13" bipod from walmart and after I mounted the bipod and looked thru the scope, I noticed the sights were not straight, meaning the crosshair was turned slightly. When I put a level to it, it indicates that it is slanted to the left. I assume this is not normal, should I just return this bipod or just adjust 1 side of the legs. I figure that bipods shouldn't be crooked, but who knows if I would have the same problem if I bought the same one again. Any input as to what I should trying doing would be great. Thanks.

Does it look be tilted/leaning to one side? If it looks bad and bugs you, then maybe try remounting it or getting a different one.

If it's just a slight lean that throws off the scope, I don't see why you can't just slightly rotate the scope to get the vertical and horizontal lines right.

Does the bipod mount to the barrel like mine? If it does, loosen the clamp and rotate your gun till its level then reclamp. Or you can loosen your scope rings and rotate your scope. Either way works.

Could anyone be so kind as to post a scan of the proof of purchase on the Marlin box or plastic wrap if you still have it?

My father, in his infinite wisdom, threw away my box for the 795 just a few days after buying the gun, so now I can't even get the $25 rebate. I already filled out the form and had everything ready to go, so I figured I would at least try a scanned proof of purchase when sending it in. Worst case scenario, I'm out 44 cents; maybe I can get lucky and qualify for the rebate.
