Has the quality of these been affected by the Remington acquisition of Marlin?

Hi everyone. I am looking for a aftermarket stock with no buttstock end of it, just a grip, sort of like a sawed off (which is legal as long as it is 26") and I was wondering if this aftermarket stock would fit on my Marlin 795?

    Could anyone here please help/respond?

I'll share my image here since the gallery thread hasn't been bumped in quite some time, I think most of us forget about that section...

    My First Marlin

Well I bought a Marlin 795 for Christmas, along with a UTG 4-16x40mm Scope, and a UTG Bi-Pod. My Son and I took it out yesterday and had so much fun it was unbelievable. We were hitting a 1" metal dinger at 50 yards and a 8" plate at a 100 yards no problem. We shot 300 rounds, no misfeeds or issues at all. I bought it at Dick's right before Christmas for $129. I would recommend this gun to anyone who wants a great gun out of the box.......[IMG][/IMG]

Just picked up the Marlin 795 from Big 5 for $169, about $210 OTD with tax. I registered on this forum FINALLY after being a long time reader and this is my first post!

I picked up 2 additional mags today at Big 5 in Tracy and Manteca Big 5 just got a load of the .22 LR in (100 rounds each I believe), so I'll be heading over there to pick up more ammo.

I get my rifle on January 6th! First rifle that I'll own, but was in the Army so I'm familiar with shooting in general. Hoping to refine my skills some and eventually get into some higher calibers.

Anyone in the central valley area have good places to shoot? Manteca Sportsman isn't the greatest in my experience.

EDIT: Im going to pick up the tech sights I think, but any recommendation on a sling and bi-pod for fairly cheap?

Is my gun a lemon? I was planning to throw on tech-sights but since the rear sight needs to be that far to the left, I'm not sure if I can get it to zero. Thoughts?

You can get tech sights now and see if the rifle will work as is, or try sending it back to Marlin to see if they can find their butts with both hands and a map.
I500X: I'm with inbox485 on this; it seems like the front sight/barrel is canted. Call Marlin and see what they can do. Otherwise, you can find the $15 OEM adjustable sights that allow the whole rear sight to move in the dovetail and then the windage piece moves even farther, but that's a band-aid at best. Hope everything works out for you.
