Marlin 795 thread

i finally shot my new 795 this week...i love it. i'm not too big of a fan of these stock sights though.

keep in mind that this is my first firearm and i've only shot one rifle in my lifetime. i shot this target at 100yds. as you can see, most of my shots were outside of the black, and the rest probably didn't even hit the target at all, haha. i feel i improved a little by the second session. (the shots within the black are from the second session, as i checked my target during the first cease-fire)



any opinions/suggestions are greatly appreciated. i am pretty new to shooting rifles, so i'd rather become skilled with regular sights before i start playing around with scopes. does anyone think the tech sights would be a good choice for me?

i just ordered the muzzlelites bull pup for my 795, i got mine used with a ati atock, scope, 3 mags, 400 rounds of ammo original stock for 125! ! ! ! ! ! !

im selling my ati drugunov stock also guys with the magwell already prepped for the 795.

You should be fine. I have found that 7 rounders from my Marlin 925 fit in the 795. However, the reverse is not true: my 10 rounders will not fit in my Marlin 925.

this is because of the new metal nipple added to the inside of the receiver because of BILL AND Hillary's gun legislation!

the newer mags have a slightly different design, and a cutout for the new mod 795 nipple

I hear that scopes mounted on the receiver tends to creep back after shooting it for awhile. Was wondering if the Tech Sights do the same for the rear peep sight. Do they creep back or hold tight?
