One of the things I like about the Mini is something most people don't say.

It looks like a Rifle. Carbine? Yes, but a Rifle nonetheless.

Thank you. I'm really on the fence about shortening the barrel and putting a brake on; I'm thinking, maybe I'll take the front sight off, thread the barrel, and put the Dynacomp on and a gas block front sight like the one from the Arms Room with the XS Big Dot.

        Marlin 60 (14 rnds) and Spee-D-Loader-15 !!!

8 refills per tube...costs about the same as a 10 rnd mag...and available.
I load up 3 tubes at home and it's off to the range...no sore fingers.

Have this sling and its waaaaay too stiff. Can't even really close the clasp. Plus the open end sometimes just slips off. Any alternative?
          I have this sling:

Numrich order shipped today. I will be out of town until Saturday morning; can't wait to see the new sight and try it out. I wait with baited breath.

Will do! Forgot to add my PSA order shipped as well; 700 rds of MiniMag 36gr HP and 700 of MiniMag 40gr solid nose so I'll have plenty of T&E ammo for an exhaustive writeup. The sacrifices we make for CG. After 4 days of K31 shooting, the 22 will be nice on the shoulder.

The metal buttplate is padding right?

Re: Avatar pics- go to User CP in upper righthand corner, then select Edit Avatar on the lefthand sidebar under Settings & Options, then select Use Custom Avatar (click the little button/circle) and either upload a pic from your computer or put the image location link in the line and then click Save Changes.

Thanks Sea Cadet Master Instructor !

You're going to be doing some great training. Then, those kids can help us defend the Bill of Rights going forward.

I will say this: The training is very cool. I'm probably the least experienced of the group, with only 5-ish years of general firearms use, and mostly there for safety and basic instruction. However, there is an Army Master Sgt, USMCR corpsman, CZ-USA rep, and a smattering of BP enthusiasts and other volunteers. The cadets get their Hunter Safety Cert, usually a cool medical lesson from the corpsman (usually field-expedient and involving hunting or the like), and then there's the stories and experiences from the volunteers. Last time, I had my M&P and it was a lot of fun going through basic handgun safety and stances and manual of arms. This year, I think there will be a little history lesson and tech lesson, and if they're still awake, shooting with the K31. The coolest part is that the instructors and volunteers bring personal arms to add variety; leverguns, C&Rs, Black Powder, rifles, handguns... Plus I get to shoot them too.

Is it a way for me to get out of the soul-grinding that I call my job? H**l yes. Is it passing on a skillset that seems to be fading overall and help educate the next generation in values and ethics that seem to be fading as well? Just as "H**l yes" as the first answer.

Is there bull barrels or any after market barrels for the 795, and triggers?

I vote for a sticky that consists of a plain and simple list of current mods and upgrades for the 795. I think it'll be so useful for new owners and possibly old just to go down a list mods. Just saying...

I've been having some issues with the hammer not releasing when the sear disconnects from the hammer. I called Remington on Thursday late morning about what my options are and they said they'd send me a new action as well as the trigger guard I've had on order since January. Well I got the parts today. I'm pretty impressed and hope it's a sign of needed changes to their customer service which has been poor over the last few years if not longer.

I've installed all the new parts and dry fired it(with a dummy round) and it seems ok, but only a trip to the range will tell for sure.

If you have an issue with your 795 give Remington a call
