I just bought two 300+ round boxes of Mini-Mag, and 5 - 100 round boxes of Winchester Super-X (very good ammo) at Midway. It wasn't a bargain, but not too bad. I'm only buying jacketed high velocity .22 these days. I have enough solid lead rounds.

After 12-31-2017 bringing in ammo from out of state will be illegal, and the problem is that out of state gun shows will be a target for CA Cops. They will find CA license plates in the parking lot. And have them pulled over just across the border. ----It will be risky to do.sigpicC'mon man, shouldn't we ban Democracks from Cal-Guns? Or at least send them to re-education camps.Comment

Are these cops going to hang out at every walmart and gun store? After 12-31-2017 bringing in ammo from out of state will be illegal, and the problem is that out of state gun shows will be a target for CA Cops. Like I said, out of state GUN SHOWS will be targets. That was in response to the post about buying ammo at GUN SHOWS. This has been talked about on CalGuns many times before.
That's the thing about reading comprehension; You can either do it or you can't.
Personally, I wouldn't drive all the way to Nevada or Arizona on the off chance that they have the ammo I want in the quantity I want it.
Besides, I wouldn't take the chance of incurring many thousands of dollars in legal fees and have something on my record in order to save money on ammo.sigpicC'mon man, shouldn't we ban Democracks from Cal-Guns? Or at least send them to re-education camps.Comment

LynnJr thanks for the heads up. I just snagged a 5,000 round brick of the CCI 40gr Minimags, shipping to the UPS hub in West Sacramento. Living in the city limits in Sacramento is really

I agree with civil disobedience, but it only works if it is well known and many many people are doing it. This is why the Progressive Authoritarians in Sacramento win, because they just keep taking our liberty a little at a time and not enough to trigger a real rebellion.
I don't think it is worth it to make yourself a potential martyr. Learn to load you own ammo. That's just my humble opinion.sigpicC'mon man, shouldn't we ban Democracks from Cal-Guns? Or at least send them to re-education camps.Comment

Got some CCI Mini-Mag locally yesterday. I walked into Big-5 yesterday to look for cheap knives on sale. And got to talking with the manager behind the counter. I asked about .22. He says, "Yeah, we got some." He had about 25 boxes of CCI Mini-Mag and a bunch of other stuff.
Anyway, I bought 10 boxes of 100, $10.99 a box. Not the greatest price, but it was so good to be able to walk into a store and actually buy good .22LR.sigpicC'mon man, shouldn't we ban Democracks from Cal-Guns? Or at least send them to re-education camps.Comment

I do my think regardless of others and their opinions or laws.
Not trying to be a martyr, just exercising Liberty.

I have been shooting Aguila .22LR and it functions well in all my toys, so yesterday at Ammofast I bought 2 cases, 388.88 per 5k round case plus $20 shipping, works out to 0.08 per round, I am happy with that. Should keep me going for a while, overall I spent nearly $2k yesterday on reloading components, powder, etc. and those 10k of .22. Hoping that will last me until I move out of this state in 3 years.sigpic

Interesting concept. So they would be working outside of their state jurisdiction? How does that play into probable cause, or are you saying they'd be working in tandem with NV cops so that they are working in an NV in an official capacity when gathering license plates? Would going to a gun show constitute probable cause? I'm not a lawyer, so I'm just trying to understand how it will work through the court system. Seems like the interstate transport would be more of an FBI issue, but the law isn't a federal law, so not sure how that works either.

They will put it like this on the news.
XYZ shooters from California where cited today while trying to bring banned ammunition into the state. In a joint task force law enforcement officials working on a anonymous tip staked out the big gun show in Reno,Nevada and cited the suspects when they failed to report the illegally obtained ammo at the California check point.
Or you could just put it in a box and mail it to yourself.Lynn Dragoman, Jr.

They LEO can't stop illegal drugs coming in and the passage of Prop 64 will cause them bigger fish intrastate. The ammo being brought in will be the least of their concerns, not a priority!Last edited by Flyron; 10-30-2016, 8:54 PM.Comment
