I was at Turners a few days ago, they had plenty Aguile and some CCI but their just crazy on their prices. I'll buy a box or two from them just to try out certain brands and such.
I still think that the Federal 325 pack for 20.00 is going to be the norm. I like this ammo and the price isn't bad when I consider what prices were like pre SH.

Not buying? Good, that means there's more for us Californians to buy As expected, the auction attached to the link for the CCI's ended, so just click on "Seller's other items" to see 2 more cases of CCI SVs for sale. Also, search under rifle ammunition, CCI, 22lr, 5,000 qty for more "no reserve" auctions.
In all seriousness, sure pricing could go down or stay the same as the year progresses, but just like a lot of people in CA, I'm trying to buy some ammo each month, as I can afford it.

Right now 7 cents a round seems fair. But I wouldn't but a case, (5,000 rounds), at that price today. A brick or 2 sure. I think in another 6 months it will drop off even more. There is no "shortage" of this stuff any longer. And that's what was holding up the price. Once the demand drops off, so will the price even more.

^^^^ I ordered 10 boxes last Monday. Just be aware they come on a slow boat.

Playing with the idea of ordering 10 more. $199.90 OTD shipped.......hard not to.

Alvin and Chipmunks that's a good one. I like those boxes because I don't have to write down when I got them.
I've been seeing CCI SV for good prices lately on internet auction sites. Among other things, we're benefiting from retailer excessive stock situations from people having "a lot" already and I'm sure the larger than normal scheduled orders that came/are coming into the stores in anticipation of the elections going the other way.
Wouldn't it be crazy if we're still getting a little bit of the holidays during the summer.

A local shop now has the federal 325rd boxes for $18 and change.
Took some time to get out of the $19 range .... I still have not seen the typical 525rd boxes from federal

    Billt,
Did the same thing. Brought in 1,500 rounds of the Alvin and Chipmunks
CCI Standard .22. Wife approved of the "cute ammo". SO, today ordered
$900.00 of .223 from SgAmmo, Cabelas and Buds. Did a spread of FMJ, HPBT
and SP. All not taxed, shipping as low as $5.00 per shipment.

Also today, bought 2,000 rounds CCI Mini-Mag 36 and 40 grains
from Cabels, 19 pounds only 26.00 shipping, no tax.

We need to buy now ... later is perhaps not an option for us anymore.

They had hundreds of boxes of the stuff on the shelf, with no one standing in line to buy it. That just under 8 cents a round. Not bad considering the same stuff was going for a dollar or more a box just before the holidays.

I think they thought it would all sell out and it didn't. We're almost halfway through January, and you can still buy .22 ammo in Christmas packaging. That should tell you something. By Summer I'll bet the price drops another 20% or more. Remember, people have been stockpiling this stuff for over 5 years. (The Sandy Hook shooting took place on December 14, 2012). That's what started all of this.
My lgs (wild Sports in Orangevale) has the Christmas packs for 3.19 per through the rest of the month while supplies last. When I checked in two days ago they had plenty.
