How's the weather out there, fellers?

Off and on again snow and rain showers for the last few days. Also, chilly and breezy here in Columbia town. More to come thru Wednesday. Had to skip my weekly range trip yesterday due the crummy weather. Hopefully things will fair up for next Friday.

It was snowing pretty good here for about an hour. More snow then I've seen here in 20 years. I got another cord of wood on Thursday. Got it all stacked before the storm hit. It's been 34 degrees for the past few hours.

Like mentioned in another thread. Cole works up at Mt High ski resort in Wrightwood. They've got 81" plus inches of snow. He can't even get up there to work.

I heard Mt Baldy is expecting 8 feet.

We had snow here most of the morning in Apple Valley as reported by my son. We were driving home from Las Vegas and took 95 south to 66 west through Goffs (my Preserve stomping grounds) to the 40 west. Little traffic and only about an hour of rain west of Goffs. from Ludlow to home was pretty clear and not much traffic! I just wanted to avoid Mountain Pass, bad weather and crazy drivers on the 15. It is 39 degrees now but will get down to 29 later.

Now we have a leak from the snow melting and seeping on the roof - never had a leak from rain but the snow melting is getting through somehow.

My power has been out since friday evening.
I have gone through several iterations of generator problems and even blown up one of my generators while powering the house for 60+ hours.
LADWP still has no estimate when power will be back on.
I live in the middle of a big city where these problems are not supposed to happen.

Wentfor9 days without power that big windstorm about teen years ago in nor cal. Cohasset was one of the last places to get fixed up here. Not fun, but made it ok.

I spent more than $75 on gas the last 3 days powering my generators.
